Nature of Job:
Presently I Am Working As A Laboratory Officer In Essar Oil Limited, Refinery division. My role is to helpful seniors for commissioning of laboratory, EOL will Crude Processing Capacity of 10.5 mmtpa.
I am responsible for set up laboratory instruments and prepare SOP for the test. Also doing the analysis of Various Crude samples, utility samples, Plant intermediate samples and Petroleum product sample analysis.
I have commissioned all the petroleum instruments as well as all water testing equipments.
Previously I was Working As A Chemist In Reliance Industries Limited, A World Largest Grassroots Refinery certified by ISO 14001, 9001 and OHSAS-18001, Having Crude Processing Capacity of 33 mmtpa, This is NABL (ISO-17025) certified laboratory.
I am responsible for following Petroleum product Analysis, Refinery Intermediate process Analysis & Water analysis.
ľ Petroleum Analysis: -
Raw material: - Crude Oil
Refinery finished product: - LPG, Naphtha, URG (Unleaded Regular Gasoline), SKO (Superior Kerosene Oil), HSD (High Speed Diesel), and ATF.
Aromatic finished product: - Paraxylene, Orthoxylene, Benzene.
Refinery Process Samples Analysis.
Parameters:-Distillation, Kinematic Viscosity, Flash Point, Moisture, Pour Point, Copper corrosion, colour,Vapourpressure,GumContent, Sediment, Carbon Residue, Oxidation Stability,Acidity, Density, SmokePoint, Sulphur, HydrogenSulphide, Cloud Point, BS & W, Mercaptans, Bromine Index etc.
All samples are Analyzed As per ASTM, IP, UOP, ISO and BIS methods.
ľ GC Analysis
GC Laboratory is having various types of Gas Chromatographs integrated with Multidimensional and Multifunctional techniques for various dedicated analysis. Analysis of samples for Refinery Products like LPG, naptha, benzene, p-xylene and o-xylene. Also analyzing various liquid and gas samples from process of refinery.
ľ Water Analysis: -
Utility Samples: -Sea Water, Desalination Water, DM Water, Boiler Water, Condensate water, Cooling Water, Effluent Water And Sewage Water samples.
Process Samples: - Brine water, Boot water and sour water.
Parameters: - pH, Conductivity, TDS, TOC, COD, BOD, Alkalinity, Chloride, Colour, Cyanide, DO, Hardness, Hydrogen Sulphide, HSS, Hydrazine, Iron, MDEA, MLSS, MLVSS, Ammonia, Oil and Grease, TSS, Phenol, Phosphate, Silica, Sulphate, Sulphide, Turbidity, TVC and SRB etc.
Utility Raw materials: - Caustic Lye, Sulfuric acid, Sodium carbonate, Sodium hypochloride, Sodium Bromide, Activated Carbon, Calcium chloride, Hydrogen Peroxide, Hydrochloric Acid, Sodium bicarbonate, Sodium Chloride,Tri Sodium Phosphate, Ferric Chloride and Sodium Chlorite.
All samples are Analyzed as per ASTM, BIS and APHA methods.
Also involved in Calibration of Instruments, Standardization and generate product certificates & train the new joiners for the company.
ľ LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
SQL LIMS Version 4.0: - Based on SQL and Windows NT.
Total operation of LIMS: - Sample Logging, Results entry, Approving the results, & Result data generation.
TRAINING: I have completed training course of Inductive coupled plasma, Atomic Adsorption Spectrophotometer, Gas Chromatography, High pressure liquid Chromatography in Perkin Elmer. Instruments Handled
