OIL & GAS PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Consulting Petroleum Geologist
Completed geological studies and defined prospects in Colorado and Nebraska. Evaluated prospects in Texas, Illinois, Colorado and Indiana. Evaluated lease sales in the Rocky Mountain Region. Developed several "D" and "J" Sand prospects and a Niobrara Gas play prospect (20-40+ wells) in Nebraska. Recently drilled one well after shooting 2.7 miles of 3-D seismic. Currently trying to obtain drilling funds for three "D" Sand prospects and the Niobrara Gas play prospect.

Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil and Gas
Managed the Evansville office. Supervised inspectors maintaining regulatory compliance in Southwestern Indiana. Coordinated with operators on drilling, production, and compliance issues. Initiated both the groundwater contamination investigation and soil remediation programs. Delineated reservoirs, identified conduits (contaminate pathways), evaluated aquifer characteristics, and designed groundwater monitoring systems. Managed the spill prevention program. Conducted electromagnetic (EM) and radiation (NORM) surveys.

Allison Resources, Inc.
Owned and managed all the affairs of a small independent oil company. Conducted geological studies, and generated prospects that resulted in several successful oil wells. Negotiated and/or acquired the necessary farm outs, leases and permits, and wrote participation agreements. Operated producing oil wells. Prepared and presented technical reports and maps, economic analysis, and other exhibits necessary to raise drilling funds. Supervised well drilling, evaluation, and completion operations. Identified field production problems and coordinated well treatment. Designed and proposed a settlement resolution for 16 venders, several oil companies and investors, and the landowners after discovering missing funds. The operator was removed and I assumed operations of the oil wells.
Denver Basin – Eight wells were drilled on prospects that I developed. Three wells were completed as oil producers. Well site geologist on all eight wells.
Las Animas Arch – Evaluated prospects along the arch.

Nance Petroleum
Denver Basin – Generated several prospects in Nebraska.
Powder River Basin – Worked part time on the Muddy Sandstone Play.

Texas Oil & Gas
Complied detailed maps. Conducted geological studies within the Rocky Mountain Region. Generated both development and exploration prospects that resulted in several successful wells. Trained geologists in both well site responsibilities and prospect identification and development. Testified before two regulatory agencies (Colorado and Wyoming) as an expert witness.
Denver Basin – Ten prospects in Colorado that I generated were drilled during my time at TXO. Six wells were completed as oil or gas producers. Acreage was being picked up on three additional prospects.
Williston Basin – Defined 24 lead prospects in Bowman County, N.D. Several miles of seismic data were purchased. None of the low relief structures were drilled while I was there. Generated one prospect in Billings County, N.D. The mineral rights were being obtained.
Wind River Basin – Delineated three prospects near Rattlesnake Mountain. One prospect was directionally drilled and the mineral rights were not available on the other two.
Green River and Big Horn Basins – I worked both basins on a part time basis. Developed one deep prospect in the GRB that was not pursued because of high well costs.

Texaco, Inc.
Developed regional studies and/or individual prospects in Louisiana, Arkansas, Michigan, and Illinois. Trained and worked as both an exploration and development geologist. Conducted well site work (prepared lithologic description, and drill time logs, picked core points, and evaluated wire line logs). Integrated engineering, geophysical and paleo data into various projects.
Southern Arkansas and Northern Louisiana – Worked the Smackover Oolite Trend Play. Generated new prospects and redefined older ones. Integrated seismic data with Geophysicists. Several exploratory wells were drilled in this play. Acreage availability was being evaluated on a new prospect.
Southern Louisiana – Worked as a Development Geologist in producing oil and gas fields. Evaluated several biostratigraphic zones in and around existing fields. Routinely coordinated my work with Geophysicists, Paleontologists, and Engineers.
Michigan and Illinois Basins – Defined lead areas in the Trenton Formation along the southern portion of the Michigan Basin. Identified lead areas in the Mississippian near De Quoin in the Illinois Basin.

OTHER PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Environmental and Geological Consultant
Conducted preliminary environmental evaluation of the Somerset Refinery in Somerset, Kentucky. Constructed Consent Degree work flowchart for the refinery. Developed schedule for Consent Degree compliance at Somerset. Reviewed the geology at a gravel mining operation. Evaluated the underlying limestone for potential mining.

AmTech Engineering, Inc.
Managed the environmental section for an engineering consulting firm. Directed the operations (approximately $4,000,000 per year) for several large environmental projects ($125,000 to $2,000,000+) at various government sites. Conducted all hydrogeological and geological evaluations. Designed, developed, coordinated, and supervised project operations. Prepared work plans and project reports. AmTech received a significant amount of additional work from both the US Army Corps of Engineers, and the Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence as a result of the success of these projects.

PEER Consultants, P.C.
Project manager and field task manager for several government environmental projects ($90,000 to $1,300,000). Conducted hydrogeological and geological evaluations. Initiated a waste minimization procedure for the well abandonment project that saved the client $110,000. Analyzed an ineffective free product recovery system at the Puerto Rico Air National Guard Base. Developed an efficient system that removed more oil in two days from the groundwater than had been removed within the last 18 months. Identified problems during well abandonment operations and redesigned tools with no further incident.

Executive Resource Associates
Hydrogeologist for environmental consulting firm at the Fernald Gaseous Diffusion Plant. Evaluated groundwater monitoring well design and recommended changes. Researched turbidity to determine the effect on analytical results and the regulatory implications.

Engineering Science, Inc.
Geologist and project manager for environmental studies at several industry and business sites. Conducted site investigations. Supervised groundwater monitoring well drilling and installation. Prepared boring logs and performed slug tests.

Indiana Department of Environmental Management
