Aug 1999 to date – GE Energy/ Optimization and control/- Canada / UAE
* Worked on various projects from design to commissioning stage for customer such as Syncrude, Suncor, Shell, Epcor, Nova Chemicals, Dow Chemicals, NSPI, OPG and Exxon Mobil.
* Managed and executed projects from technical and managerial aspects
* Worked on various projects with EPC companies such as Fluor Daniel, Bantrel, Jacobs Engineering, Veco, SNC-Lavalin, and Tri-Ocean.

Jan 1989 to Apr 1992 – Honeywell Kuwait
* Worked on refinery control system upgrade project in which analogue system was to be replaced with TDC 3000, LCN based DCS system
* Worked on various engineering activities such as collected existing site data during GRTA, revised P&ID drawings, generated loop drawing, system drawings on PC.
* Worked on system configuration such as point configuration, high way and box configuration, database development, interlock. Developed dynamic graphics and interlock design.
* Successfully lead the factory acceptance test at Honeywell factory in Phoenix – USA.
* After the gulf war, carried out tank farm project for KOC/ Bechtel by providing engineering and database to Honeywell- PACE. Fast track project was handled efficiently with the team at Honeywell at PACE and Bechtel engineers in Kuwait. Successfully completed FAT at PACE facilities
Mar 1988 to Nov 1988 – IMCO – Kuwait
* Lead the team of technicians during commissioning stage of various plant of Mina Abdullah refinery – Kuwait. Successfully executed Loop checking, calibration of various field instrumentation and interlock checking for various plants.
Nov 1985 to Nov 1987 – M. F. Kent & Co. - Kuwait
* Carried out preventive and corrective maintenance at Refinery Modernization Plant of Mina Al Ahmadi Refinery in Kuwait
* Lead the team of technicians for the day-to-day maintenance work and plant modifications work
Apr 1984 to Oct 1985 – Indian Petrochemical Corp (IPCL) - India
* During commissioning stage of PVC plant worked on: loop checking, calibration of various field instruments, analyzer, control valves etc. Interlock checking. Foxboro Spec 200 card calibration. Understanding of the process helped in commissioning and maintenance at later stage.
Projects Handled:
1)Syncrude Vibration Monitor upgrade: 2M$ project to replace old vibration monitoring system with new one. Scope included design, documentation, installation, subcontracts, configuration, testing and commissioning.
2)Shell Refinery Edmonton: Upgarder project wherein Bently Nevada system 1 along with 3500 monitoring racks were installed. As a project manager co-ordained with Bantrel, Tri-Ocean, Veco, Flour and Shell. Hardware selection, system architect, probe selection, system layout, co-ordination with OEM, providing engineering drawings etc.
3)Shauiba refinery DCS upgrade Kuwait: This was 27 MUS$ project to upgrade analogue control system to Honeywell TDC 3000 LCN based system. AS project engineer was responsible for 3 out of 8 plants. Activities included site survey during shutdown, instrument index, P&ID updates, loop drawings, system selection, I/O selection, logic design, system configuration, graphics building, co-ordianting with the sub contractor and FAT.
Other projects handled: EPCOR coal crush mill vibration monitoring, Suncor/ Jacobs Firebag machinery monitoring and management system project, Exxon Mobil/ Jacobs: Labarge project for Bently Nevada system with 3500 and System1, NSPI TSI system retrofit, KOC North tank farm project with Honeywell Series 8000 PLC and TDC 3000 system, various engineered solution to supply Bently Nevada system with cabinet including design, FAT, installation and commissioning.
Educational Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Engineering in Instrumentation and Control: First class with distinction from L D College of engineering – Gujarat University from 1979 to1983.
