* Prepares quotations for custom and aftermarket elastomer parts in the drilling & production systems group. Provides quotes in accordance with customer's contract requirements, pricing guidelines, and company objectives. Follows quotation into confirming sales order, order entry, delivery status, invoicing, and post shipment status.
* Requires a technical understanding of the durometer, PSI, temperatures, and overall material compounds for packers, PDPs, cement plugs, and seals for wellhead and drilling applications. Required to understand drawings and application of parts.
* Interfaces with customers to identify requirements, establish buying cycles and to create and maintain customer relationships. Collaborates with customer's engineers to understand market requirements and new product developments. Liaison between customers and manufacturing for new mold quotes, first article testing, and engineering release to final production processes.
* Works with customers and finance department personnel to facilitate the timely payment of invoices and resolves payment issues to the mutual satisfaction of both parties. Processes credits and MRAs. Processes credit applications, initial set up of new customer accounts, and completion of NAFA Certificates.
* Liaison between customer and QA on material requiring a NCR (Non-Conformance Request), CAR (Corrective Action Request), and correct certification requirements of the finished part.
* Maintains Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual sales totals for upper management. Required to report weekly IOI's (Market - Information of Interest) and outstanding quotes and credits to GM.
* Ability to analyze cost information: labor rate, material, and buyout parts for annual price increases. Responsible for adding sales margin and updating pricing increases in SAP.

* Responsible for interfacing with HP and sub-contractors at both the corporate and site levels to drive new customer requirements for Hard Disk Drives.
* Regular interaction and communication with Site buyers, Corporate Commodity Managers, Regional Commodity Managers, and Global Procurement Services (GPS) to ensure supply is aligned with demand. JIT planning and deliveries. Complies with HP contractual agreements and negotiated quarterly pricing.
* Maintains complete knowledge and understanding of key customer's forecasting (weekly MRP), sales' revenue plans and manufacturing/material management. Develops and maintains weekly sales forecast, plans accurate market analysis, and gathers market intelligence for the Pan Am region.

* Acts as the primary source for changes/alternatives to the customer. Identifies and negotiates constraints in production capabilities regarding configuration, material, and technical issues.
* Provides analytical reporting to customer: monthly and quarterly shipments reports, monthly and quarterly rebates, monthly GPS (Global Procurement Services) finance reports, weekly supply commits, weekly production reconciliation reports, and daily production reports.
* Leads special projects and serves as the liaison between the customer, senior management, and engineering support.
* Responsible for driving additional sales above quarterly negotiated levels established by the sales staff; while results vary from quarter to quarter, shipments consistently exceed share award.
* Travels to sites, covering US, Mexico, and Canada, to conduct business meetings with the sub-contractors in order to maintain customer relationships, review any upcoming processes, and take back any issues that need to be presented to senior management.
Significant Accomplishments:
* Successful resolution of A/R issues in excess of $18 million dollars outstanding invoices. Received Achievement Award.
* Selected on Demand Planning team for the sales forecasting workshop. Provided input to the selection and evaluation of Maxtor's forecasting software.
