AMERICAN INNOVATIONS
INTEGRITY MANAGEMENT DIVISION Littleton, CO 2000 - 2007
Director, Engineering Services
Primary responsibilities are centered on managing projects (independently or through the leadership of a team of engineers, analysts and tactical personnel) involving pipeline risk engineering, integrity management, data integration, integrity assessment, and repair and mitigation activities. Tasks are focused on providing engineering solutions related to pipelines and facilities failure threats and consequence analysis using data management, application of empirically derived formulas to assess risk, and interpretation of risk results and proposed further assessments.
* By employing engineering and management skills, the position provides key leadership for strategic hazardous liquids and natural gas clients in their pipeline integrity efforts as mandated by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Texas Railroad Commission.
* Focused on assisting clientele in the overall development and implementation of an integrity management plan per the US Pipeline Safety Act (49 CFR Part 195 and 49 CFR Part 192); ASME B31.8S for gas transmission pipelines; and, API Std. 1160 for liquid transmission pipelines.
* Supported customers through the full process of data integration, identification of High Consequence Areas, initial risk assessment, baseline plan development, continual improvement to the customer's integrity management plan, OPS audit support and field support for clientele.
* Additional responsibilities include exploring the benefits of Risk/Data Mining methods to evolve a more effective risk management process, identifying relevant integrity correlations, development of industry-based algorithms, and determination of relationships that influence root cause and consequence of failure in pipelines.
* Provided ongoing expertise and inferential skills to a team of developers to design and implant a risk management software tool for analysis, R&D initiatives project management and implementation, in addition to client and in-house staff training at all levels.
* Management responsibilities include development and implementation of pipeline integrity management services contracts, maintaining client relationships, and the management/execution of service projects in program development, pipeline rehabilitation, repair and maintenance.
* Provided extensive experience in managing and mentoring project engineers and staff
* Drove key company initiatives into software and service contracts generating more than 85% of corporate and operating revenue in the last three years.
