Senior Drilling Engineer
In charge, Planning and Procurement cell of Drilling Business Group, Southern Regional Business Center and responsible for
· Planning and Programming of rigs in South Regional Business Center and day-to-day operation monitoring.
· Material Planning and Procurement for the two Projects (14 rigs) under Southern Regional Business Center
· Monitoring Budget and Budget Utilization of the Drilling Business Group of the Region
· Well design and completion for high pressure and complicated wells
· Detailed study of well complication and trouble shooting
· Preparing presentation material for corporate planning, for technical discussions, for decision making and advice to rigs by the Regional Office
· Documentation and computerization of drilling data for decision support system
Field Experience : Narimanam, Kovilkalapal,Nannilam, Bhuvangiri, Ramnad, Kamalapuram, Cauvery Project, Tamilnadu, India and Pasarlapudi, Lingala, Kesanapalle, Ravva, GS-15, Nandigama, Tatipaka, Krishna Godavary Project.
Drilled approximately 150 wells- depth ranging from 1800 to 4800mTD during the 4 year period with 15 rigs which included both vertical and directional wells.
Field Work involved frequent visits to drill site for trial bit runs (premium PDC bits) and for trouble shooting complication like fishing/ side tracking, well activity, bit failure. Involved in downhole tool design and lowering for fishing operation, side tracking operation, casing jobs, liner hanger/ tieback, open hole and cased hole DST, plugs.
First time drilled a extended reach offshore well (ERD) from onshore point using MWD.
Base office work involved Planning and Programming of rigs, budgeting, material procurement, Well design- GTO preparation, casing design, bit selection, drill string design, BHA selection, mud parameters and cementing and well completion for HPHT wells

· Compiling well completion reports and documenting well history from the drill site
Field Experience: Khoraghat, Uriumghat, Barolla, Danshree Valley Project, Assam, India
Drilled 12 wells- depths ranging from 3800 to 4600mTD during the 4 year period which included cluster location of 6 wells for the same drill site of which 5 were directional wells.
Rig site work consists of rig dismantling/building, spudding, drilling, casing lowering, liner hanger, cementing, coring, fishing, milling, side tracking, drill stem testing, production testing and abandon procedures
Encountered many fishing operation to due inherent complications associated with deviated wells. Used down hole tools like drilling jar, fishing grapple, fishing tap, overshot, wash over pipe, mill, junk sub, junk basket during fishing operations. For side tracking, down hole tools such as mud motors, bent sub, stabilizers, monel, totco survey equipment were used. In addition, liner hanger jobs, tieback, DST, setting packers and bridge plugs while production testing were done. Used expandable casing packer- ECP.
