Working in a Multinational Company M/s. Chemtex Consulting of India Pvt. Ltd, "Golden Enclave", 1st Floor, B1 Tower, Corporate Bank, Air Port Road, Bangalore – 560 017 Since Apil' 2004 as Procurement Engineer. Chemtex is a world class engineering firm, subsidiary of M/s. Nature of Work:-
Assigned a overseas job, Acrylic Fiber project for M/s. Alexandria Fiber Company in Egypt (Aditya Birla Group Company). Responsibilities includes Co-ordination with client for procurement of all materials & services required for Acrylic Fiber project.
Specialization in Purchase Department:-
 Preparation, Review & Floating of Tenders/Enquiries as per Customers requirements.
 Evaluation of Tender/Bid Technically as well as commercially.
 Technical & Commercial evaluation and registration of Vendors/Contractors.
 Co-Ordination with Project department for consolidating the Material, Manpower & Constructions equipments required for the Project.
 Sourcing of Materials/Services to suit specific Customer & Project requirements.
 Techno-Commercial negotiations with Vendors/Contractors.
 Issue of Technically & Commercially clear Purchase Orders & Contract documents.
 Follow up with Vendors/Contractors to ensure timely delivery of Materials/Services to meet the Project Schedule.
 Preparation of Catch-up plan, in case of delay, to ensure timely execution of the Project/Contract schedule.
 Sub-Contractor Auditing & Training on Systems & Procedures as per company policy.
 Involved in Import-Export dealings of the organization with respect to Procurement functions.
 Involved in all Excise Duty, Taxation & all statutory functions of the Purchase Department.
Previous Professional Experience:-
June' 2003 to April' 2004:-
 Worked in a Project Oriented Company M/s. Prism Surface Coating (P) Ltd., Bangalore as Deputy Manager - Purchase. Technical Collaboration with M/s. WIWA Gmbh, Germany and M/s. Clemco Gmbh, Germany.
 I was In charge for Execution of Turnkey Project for Surface Coating Systems i.e., Pretreatment Plants, Powder Coating Booths, Liquid Coating Booths, Drying & Baking Ovens, Conveyors, Automation Systems, Refining Paint Booths, Blast Rooms & Recovery Systems and Effluent Treatment Plants etc.
 Executed various Powder Coating Plants for Gulf Countries i.e., Dubai, Kuwait and Abudhabi. M/s. Lucy Switchgears, Dubai Powder Coating plant has been executed in short period of 90days.
July'2001 to June'2003:-
 Worked as a Purchase Officer in a Multinational Company, M/s. Rotary Mec Engineering (India) Pvt. Ltd, International Tech Park, Bangalore., India subsidiary of M/s. Rotary Engineering Limited., Singapore
 I was In charge for supply Chain Management for EPC Project, which involves Material Planning, Procurement, Vendor Sourcing, Vendor Development, Negotiation & Finalization of Orders and Execution of Projects for Petrochemicals, Oil & Gas Industries.
 Involved in the complete procurement function for M/s IOCL Petroleum Storage Terminal Project at Ahmedabad.
 Instrumental in freezing Orders for all major bought out items like Pumps, Motors, Steel Plates & Structural, Pipes, Fittings, Valves, Fire Fighting Systems, Terminal Automation System, Electrical Panels, DG Sets and ETP Plants etc.
Major Project Handled:
 M/s. Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Storage Terminal Project at Navagam in India (Project value Rs. 56 Crores).
October'1997 to July'2001:
 Worked as a Purchase Officer in a Multinational Company, M/s. Kirloskar AAF Limited, Bangalore. They were in execution of Turnkey Projects in the field of Surface Coating Division & Pollution Control Division. (Air Pollution Control, Water Pollution Control, Electrostatic Precipitator, Ventilation Systems and Filtration Division etc.)
 Worked for Surface Coating Division which involves execution of Paint shop Plants & Powder Coating Plants for various Automobile sectors in India.
 Executed various Paint shop Projects and Powder Coating Plants for most of the Automobile sectors in India like., Telco, Maruti Udyog Limited, L&T Komatsu Ltd, Toyota Kirloskar Motor Ltd, Hero Honda Motors Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, Escorts Ltd, Tata Auto Plastics Ltd, Kirloskar Systems Ltd, Denso Kirloskar Ltd, Trinity Coating Systems Ltd, Araco Polyflex Ltd, Donghee Vision India Ltd, Nordson India Ltd and Munjal Showa Ltd.
