* Provide support to Engineers / Technical Authors in the preparation of technical manuals for condition monitoring and preventative maintenance of the Karratha Onshore Gas Treatment Plant. A total of 560 technical manuals were prepared.
* Achievements:
- Prepared and maintained planning schedules for the various engineering disciplines.
- Prepared budgets, expenditure forecasts and manpower planning schedules.
- Coordinated and monitored all manhour / cost related activities and interfaced in-house activities to line up with on-site shutdown programmes.

June 1983 – June 1984: Platform Planning / Cost Engineer

* Provide on-site planning and cost control support to construction personnel during the hook-up and commissioning phase of the North Rankin "A" Platform. A total of 750,000 manhours were expended.
* Achievements:
- Monitored Contractor's weekly progress via the "28-day Look Ahead" report.
- Updated and maintained planning schedules for all disciplines.
- Prepared "Weekly Reports" on manhours expended for review by the Platform Resident Engineer and Management.
- Prepared monthly expenditure forecasts and platform estimates.

November 1980 – May 1983: Cost Engineer

Duties and responsibilities:
* To effectively assist and provide cost control management support to engineers and construction personnel during the engineering design and construction phase of 136km of 30" Submarine Pipeline from the North Rankin "A" Platform to the Onshore Facilities at Karratha. Project cost approximately AUD $20M.
* Achievements:
- Planned and carried out total cost control management of activities ranging from engineering design of the subsea pipeline and its onshore facilities, hydrographic survey, coating and weight control of the submarine line pipe and its installation, including ploughing of a subsea trench for the burial of the line pipe.
- Prepared six-monthly expenditure forecasts required for submission to the Participants in the North West Shelf Joint Venture.
- Reviewed monthly "60-day Look Ahead" with the required data for input into the Project Cost Processor (PCP) computerised system.
