Position: Projects Start up Leader

Details of Assignment
1.Start-up of several gas production facilities in East Kalimantan field which includes
TUNU Phase-9 with (2) Gathering & Testing Satellite platforms, TAMBORA Phase-2 with
(3) GTS platforms and a new 24" x 26 km trunk-pipeline.
2.Start up of SiSi Nubi Phase-1 which consists of (3) off-shore wellhead platforms and
420 m3 finger type slug catcher, inter-field pipe-lines and 26" x 35 km export trunk-
line.
3.Start up of TATUN new 60,000 blpd oily water treatment (OWT) facilities at CPU.

Duties/Responsibilities
* Overseer a Start-up team ensuring that all interfacing work activities with drilling, construction and commissioning operations are safely controlled through established procedures, company specifications and approved permit to work systems.
* Conducted conformity checks and prepared all mark-up P&ID drawings, start-up procedures and other related documentation in order to provide a well organized documentary evidence for start-up and project handover acceptance process.
* Assisted projects with pipe line cleaning, gauging and all pigging operations.
* Followed and witnessed all commissioning activities including SAT, Operational tests, performance test, leak test, inerting etc. and collation of all work progress through a weekly "look-a-head" plan to maintain objectives and agreed milestones.
* Maintained close Liaison with operations and project personnel including EPS
Contractors with all start up and commissioning activities.
* Participated in site management daily meetings to update all entities of ongoing activities, safety concerns, manpower and materials requirements etc.
* Follow timely request and receipts of all deliverables, matters raised as punch list items and warranty claims.
* Prepared final handover documentations and close out reports.

AMEC SPIE (France) for Total E & P Angola 2001 to 2004
General Superintendent (Site Manager)
Nominated as RSES (Responsible for Safety, Environment & Site) by Total management with responsibilities including managing and co-ordinating all onshore activities in a safe and effective manner and overseer of (68) Total E&P employees and (280) Contracted workers.

* Lead the field emergency response team to carry out de-mining operations and general clean-up in areas with significant oil contamination resulted from sabotages during the civil war.
* Carried out extensive repair work on destroyed facilities and restarted in production service pipelines, wellheads, gathering stations, tank farms etc.

PETROTRIN Trinidad 1999 to 2001
Production Superintendent Reporting to (VPL) Operations Manager and responsible for managing the reactivation of Brighton land and marine fields which includes two Lease Operator-ships, one Farm-out and two Joint Ventures.
* Recruitment, training and evaluation of production personnel.
* Co-ordinate concurrent activities and operational work program, to ensure they are conducted safely and in accordance with PETROTRIN requirements.
* Prepare and submit all production reports and recommendations.
* Monitor, supervise and evaluate well performance during clean up and early production to ensure proper practices and success of the drilling and work over exercise.
* Assisted in preparing safety and operational procedures. Promote Company health, safety and environment policy application on the work site.

GEOSERVICES (France) for Shell Venezuela. 1995 to 1999
Lake Installation Superintendent Reporting to the Lake Installation Manager and OPN-1 with responsibilities for supervising the reactivation of West Urdaneta field in Lake Maracaibo, including commissioning and start-up of a 75,000 BLPD modern offshore production platform. The West Urdaneta field consists of (3) other fields with Cogollo field producing 3,500 BOPD sour crude with H2S concentration of 3500 ppm.
* Follow up with daily operational activities and was responsible for all areas in the offshore field during plant construction, commissioning and start up and subsequently overall supervision of all activities in the offshore operations.
* Prepared and implemented plans for emergencies and accidents.
* Inspection of the entire plant as being built in accordance with the P & IDs.
* Prepared reporting procedures & progress reports.
* Assisted in testing operating personnel for competence.
* Ensuring that all safety proposals for offshore/onshore production facilities are carried through to conclusion.
* Operations and maintenance of oil and gas production facilities, 3 x 10 KVA Solar
Turbine power generation system, Solar Turbine gas compressors, Amine gas sweetening,
Sulphur Recovery and Sulphur Handling systems.
* Ensuring all work programs are conducted in accordance to approved procedures and good engineering practices.
* Responsible for reviewing site, work procedures, work schedules and planned work activities to minimize production interruption and safe execution of activities.
* Emergency Response Site Commander - simulated emergency drills, training and safety meetings.

AMOCO Trinidad Oil Company. 1977 to 1994
ATOC was the largest Oil and Gas producer in Trinidad & Tobago at the time, producing approximately 125,000 BOPD.
Offshore Installation Superintendent / Acting OIM as required.
Joined as an Assistant Production Operator and with full participation in AMOCO Educational Assistant Plan, progressed to overseeing (35) AMOCO employees and (60) Contracted workers as OIS/M
* Responsible for managing and scheduling all offshore resources, activities, manpower and for oil and gas production, maintenance and logistic activities in the Teak field.
The TF comprises of (7) offshore oil and gas platforms and (1) 50.000 BWPD Water Flood facilities for secondary oil recovery. Field estimated production 48,000 BOPD.
* Maintain safe and efficient Production and Maintenance operations in the offshore field requirements, safe practices and procedures and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety codes and operating procedures as outlined by AMOCO Trinidad.
* Monitoring the Production and Maintenance Supervisors in their roles, as Supervisors of their crew, by transfer of knowledge and skills and provide operational input into projects through data review as required.
