SENIOR LOG ANALYST/DATA MANAGER 1999 – Present
Based full time in Tetbury, Gloucestershire. Responsible for the overall management of UK & International wireline data. In charge of supervising and co-ordinating daily requests from clients. Special projects are being undertaken in terms of Formation Evaluation. Currently working on 31 wells, carrying out Formation evaluation studies on Denmark and UK's North Sea, appraising the productivity of the Jurassic and Lower Jurassic horizons (Chalk). Also involved in producing computed processed interpretations (CPI) for some 40 wells from Quad 23 in the Central North Sea.
A good percentage of the time is spent downloading released raw wireline data from CDA website. This is then processed. ie depth shifting, merging runs, normalising curves, removing cycle skipping on sonic curves & environmentally correcting curves. Creating an added-value set for clients.
In charge of working out Petrophysical parameters for a study around Quads 43 & 44 in UK Southern North Sea. This includes effective Porosity, Water Saturation and Volume of clay. All calibrated with Core Analysis data.
Also supervising special projects with expert companies in Dipole Shear Image (DSI) and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) in parts of the UK North Sea, especially in areas of heavy oil production. (Alba & Clair fields)

LOG ANALYST/DATA MANAGER
Responsible for the overall management of well data, reporting directly to the Chief Petrophysicist.

Specific duties included:
* (1996-1998) Log Analyst in charge of 'sanitising' the Corporate Well Database by creating new 'cleaned' datasets to store in Openworks. Also working out Petrophysical parameters such effective Porosity, Water Saturation and Volume of clay to incorporate into main dataset. Porosities calibrated with existing Core Analysis data.
* Supervising and co-ordinating of the day to day loading operations of well data from different sources
* To help develop the existing Petrophysical software (DUKPET)
* To liase with external contractors for digitising and encapsulating well data into other mediums.
* (1992- 1996) Junior Petrophysicist involved in special projects supporting development studies for Southern North Sea Asset Teams. Ravenspurn North & other satellite fields. Working in parallel with Master thesis in same area.
* Also spent 6 months working in Sharjah office (UAE), in the Murabak Field project.
* Travel to South America in data gathering exercises for New Ventures group.
* (1988-1992) Technical Assistant role in Petrophysics group. Daily loading of wireline and other data belonging to Enterprise acreage in UK & Abroad.

CORE ANALYSIS SPECIALIST
* Employed in the Core store to provide routine core analysis on UK wells. Also responsible for the retrieval & handling of core samples from UK onshore well sites.
* Duties included the production of reports with all the results of the analysis for submission to clients, and to database these for future information.
