FRONT-END ENGINEERING DESIGN OF QOUBBA SURFACE FACILITIES
(ORGANISATION CONJOINTE QOUBBA)
Co-opted to Dresser Kellog Qoubba Development Project Team, a body responsible for the execution of the Front-End Engineering & Design (FEED) of surface facilities for the Qoubba Development Project on behalf of Dresser Kellog Energy Services / Granherne Limited of United Kingdom. Responsible for performing Hydraulic Analysis Studies for seven different flowline/trunkline systems Viz. :
• Production flowlines from wellheads to seven different satellite gathering stations and onward delivery to the Central Processing Facility (CPF) by separate trunklines.
• Gas injection trunk line and flowline.
• Injection water distribution trunkline/flowline systems.
• Dilution water distribution trunkline/flowline systems.
• Lift gas distribution trunk line/flow line systems
• Source water gathering flowline/trunkline.
• Utility water gathering flowline/trunkline.
CONCEPTUAL DESIGN OF BLOCK 208 (RKF/STRUNIAN) FIELD DEVELOPMENT

Involved in the preparation of conceptual design study for Block 208 RKF / Strunian field development project. Activities performed include PRO/II simulation of the reservoir monophasic fluid compositions to match the GOR, Gas Molecular Weight and oil specific gravity reported in the Schlumberger’s PVT test report. Also, responsible for hydraulic simulation of the production gathering network configurations using Baker Jardine PIPESIM.Net multiphase simulator (Release 3.25a). Finally, participation in the preparation of the hydraulic analysis report.
HEIMDAL CAPACITY STUDY
(NORSK HYDRO)
Heimdal Capacity Study was performed to assess the possibility of an existing gas/condensate processing facility to accommodate additional production capacity and modifications that might be required. Specific responsibilities include summarising the PRO/II simulation results and sizing heat exchangers using HTFS’s MTAC Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger Sizing Program (Version 3.41).
GAS PROCESSING STUDY
(SIEP -BV (FORMER SOVIET UNION)
The study was carried out to establish charts that could be used as management tool for estimating the total investment cost of processing different level of sour gas in the former Soviet Union environment. Specific responsibilities on the project include:
• Sizing TEG contactor based on Shell DEP 20.04 10.10 Gen.
• Sizing separators and pressure vessels using Shell Vessel Sizing Program (VSP Vs 1.1.1)
• Sizing shell & tube heat exchangers using HTFS’s MTASC (Version).
• Sizing air coolers using HTFS’s MACOL (Version 5.40)
• PRO/II simulation of MDEA sweetening unit.
CONCEPTUAL DESIGN FOR BELEMA GAS INJECTION PROJECT
(SHELL PETROLEUM AND DEVELOPMENT COMPANY OF NIGERIA - SPDC)
Seconded to the project team of GRANHERNE LIMITED, Soyode’s technical partner in the UK, for technology transfer and training purposes. Responsible for pipeline hydraulic study under supervision of a senior process engineer. Specific responsibilities include setting up steady state multiphase compositional PIPEPHASE computer flow models, simulating the model using SimSci’s PIPEPHASE PROGRAM (Version 6.03), presentation of the simulation results in the form of sensitivity tabulations and graphs. Finally, the Pipeline Hydraulic Analysis Report was prepared discussing the pipeline data and information used for the simulation, the methodology of the study, the simulation results and recommending optimum pipeline sizes based on the presented results.
Other assignments carried out include preparation of equipment data sheets and sizing of pressure vessels (such as knock-out drums, slug catchers, compressor suction and discharge scrubbers, fuel gas filter separator etc) using SHELL Vessel Sizing Program (VSP) Version 1.1. Finally, blowdown simulation and flare system simulations using SimSci PRO/II (Version 4.01) and SimSci INPLANT(Version 3.01) Programs respectively.
Updating design documents such as slug catcher study and technical notes for blowdown studies to be issued for approval.
Finally, participation in the project safety and design reviews.

Responsible for flowlines hydraulic calculations using SimSci’s PIPEPHASE Simulation Program.
OGBELE AND OMERELLU MARGINAL OIL FIELDS DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
(NIGER DELTA PETROLEUM RESOURCES LTD)
Project engineer responsible to the project manager and involved in planning, progress measurement, reporting, cost control and engineering document control activities. Working with GRANHERNE’s project team in checking the suitability of the sourced used equipment for the proposed production capacity and specified duties.

Development of a model for performing economics and optimisation studies for a very wide variety of petroleum refineries.
SIERRIA LEONE REFINERY ECONOMICS STUDY

Responsible for carrying out net-back economics calculations for a hydroskimming refinery (use only crude distillation unit to flash crude oil into light and heavy products) at Sierria Leone based on various crude types and yield patterns.

Preparation of net-back economics tables for Nigerian refineries using various production scenarios (product slates, crude types, crude and product prices). Preparation of refinery profit margin and fuel/loss analysis tables and charts for Nigerian refineries. Formulation of Petroleum Trust Fund(PTF) funding method and Petroleum Product Pricing. This assignment was performed under direct supervision of an experienced senior engineer.
CONCEPTUAL DESIGN STUDY FOR THE PROPOSED IBEJU - LEKKI REFINERY
(NOUVEAU TECHNOLOGIES & ASSOCIATES LTD.)
Formulation of the refinery configuration based on the new PortHarcourt refinery and modifying same to conform to the market situation, environmental and governmental issues among other criteria. This assignment was performed under direct supervision of an experienced senior engineer. Responsible for data gathering and preparation of product specification tables, crude specification tables and final organisation of the project deliverable.
