Have extensive experience in supervising and implementation of reservoir management strategies, predict performance and optimize future depletion and field development planning. Worked on both, clastic and carbonate reservoirs. Solid experience to identify and implement opportunities to improve production through reservoir surveillance/management plus reserves estimation, production forecast, material balance calculations, decline curve analysis, nodal analysis and managed all aspects of reservoir engineering activities during drilling/logging/ testing and evaluate completion strategies. Planning/designing/analysis of pressure transient test, identification of problematic wells, and remedial action (work over), including day-to-day activities.
Familiar with production operations and performing capability of ESP. Keen team player and ability to liaise with other Petroleum Engineering disciplines.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

PRINCIPAL RESERVOIR ENGINEER- (OGDCL):2005 -PRESENT

* Presently working with OGDCL in Pakistan. Responsible for Reservoir Engineering North Division of Reservoir Management Department. Supervising a team of geo-scientists, working on various fields (about 10 Oil & Gas Condensate fields) located in Northern Region of Pakistan owned by the company.
* Communicate / interface with local and foreign national joint venture partners regarding exploitation, production and operational functions. Maintaining a highly successful campaign to run the reservoir and production related activities leading to achieving the MOU targets,
* Presentations to senior management and partners as required. Attending non-operated partner meetings and provide technical input to reservoir, production and operational concerns.
* In addition to that at the same time also performing all technical work as mentioned under the title of Senior Reservoir Engineer-OGDCL.

SR. RESERVOIR ENGINEER-(VOO):2003- 2005

* Worked with Veba oil Operations and joint venture of Petro Canada in Libya. Responsible for Concession-72 and En-Naga Field. Work included proposing reservoir management strategies, including day-to-day activities, reservoir surveillance, monitor production performance and make recommendations for optimization of production rates and also analysis of well test data of the Fields.
* Primarily worked on En-Naga Field development project (a joint venture of Petro Canada of UK) and responsible for all aspects of reservoir engineering activities during drilling/testing and completion of the wells including designing/ interpretation of DST/PLT/MDT, fluid sampling and preparation of scope of work for required laboratory studies (SCAL & PVT data) and coordinating with other discipline of teams involved in field development.

SENIOR RESERVOIR ENGINEER-OGDCL: 1999-2003

* Worked on OGDCL's "Northern Region" fields, covering all reservoir management strategies, monitoring and their implementation by providing technical input for maximization of reserves recovery and optimization of production including day-to-day activities. Assist in preparation and evaluation of tenders, and contracts related to reservoir development activities.
* Responsible to provide advice to project teams on all technical matters concerning reservoir engineering, production optimization and integrated reservoir management, including quality control on technical soundness.
* Undertaken variety of general reservoir engineering activities including analysis, evaluation and application of the reservoir data from logs, well tests, SCAL and PVT for rock/fluid characterization. Supervision of work over including additional perforations and water shut-off etc.
* Reservoir surveillance activities i.e. review of well completion data, daily production data, well logs, well tests/PSP results etc.
* Carry out reservoir engineering studies using various analytical/classical reservoir engineering techniques that includes: production performance of the wells, material balance calculation, decline curve analysis, nodal analysis, pressure transient analysis, diagnostic analysis for problematic wells, and recommendations for short, medium and long-term remedial actions i.e. work over /wire line jobs to ensure well performance is within expectation and added significant value to enhance the production of the fields.
* Carry out reservoir simulation studies as a part of an integrated team and perform reservoir-engineering functions and updated reservoir model, prepare TOR for reservoir simulation studies and evaluation of consultant firms participated in bids/tender for simulation studies.

JUNIOR RESERVOIR ENGINEER-OGDCL: 1995-1999

Responsible for reservoir surveillance of OGDCL's Dakhni Gas condensate, Missa Keswal, Fimkassar and Chaknurang oil field to monitor production performance and make recommendations for optimization of production rates and reserves. Duties also included providing well test analysis, RFT analysis, decline curve analyses and material balance on oil & gas fields. Worked within a multi-disciplinary team participated in development plans of Nandpur Gas Field, Rajian Oil Field and Sadkal Gas Condensate field.

RESERVOIR ENGINEER-OGDCL: 1992-1995

Duties included data collection and interpretation of production performance of the wells, well test analysis, material balance calculation, decline curve analysis and maintained production database of the fields. Organized and maintained well and field data information to establish reserve revisions as appropriate for quarterly reporting and provided proper data in a concise format for reservoir engineering studies to the consulting firms. Experience gained specifically within the reservoir engineering functions.

PRODUCTION ENGINEER-OGDCL: 1990-1992
Worked at different fields of OGDCL in Production Operations.

Performed and supervised following production operations.
* Handling of crude and gas production.
* Wells' testing.
* Well monitoring.
* Supervision of various wire line jobs.
Beside above stated operations, also performed the additional duties of "Operation Manager" Toot Oil Field.

PUBLICATIONS:
Paper titled as "Underground Gas Storage, A Potential Demand of Pakistan" published in Pakistan Journal of Hydrocarbon Research (2003).

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS:

EN-NAGA FIELD DEVELOPMENT PROJECT: (A JOINT VENTURE OF PETRO CANADA OF UK).
Worked on En-Naga Field development project and provide technical input during drilling/ completion of 04 wells and endorsed reservoir management strategy. Identify the source of water for future water flooding program for Zelten reservoir. Prepared a report on Field titled "En-Naga Field Reservoir Management" to established future production scheme resolve issued regarding depletion strategy of the field which was a challenging task under the circumstance as Petro Canada have a production sharing agreement with Veba Oil Operations up to 2017. The recommendations made in the report have been accepted by the Management of the company as well as Petro Canda.

DAKHNI FIELD EXPANSION (BMR) PROJECT:
Dakhni Gas Condensate field's "Balancing, Modernization & Revamping" (BMR) project. Review of brown field development, adding significant value to present production forecast leading to incremental gas production of over 20 mmscf/day.Dakhni is the OGDCL's first major complex, processing sour gas being produced form the field, which is on production since 1989.

DEVELOPMENT PLAN OF THE FIELDS:
Participated in scheming of development plan that includes reserves evaluation, surface facilities planning and economic evaluation by participating with multi-discipline project team for the Nandpur Gas Field, Rajian Oil Field and Sadkal Gas Condensate field of OGDCL. As a part of a Reservoir Development team interfaces closely with geology, geophysics, petrophysics, and production engineering.

STUDY OF CONVERSION OF SADKAL FIELD TO UNDERGROUND STORAGE:
Participated in feasibility study of conversion of Sadkal Gas Condensate Field to underground storage. Sadkal field is a prospective candidate for underground Gas Storage. The first ever-underground gas storage analysis has been carried out at Sadkal field in Pakistan, located near the city of Islamabad in Potwar area, which allows to efficiently resolving demand seasonality problems.

RESERVOIR SIMULATION STUDY OF MISSA KESWAL FIELD:
Completed Reservoir Simulation Study of Missa Keswal Oil Field. Member of the team constructed for the Missa Keswal Field models with an extended support from a consultant (Baker Atlas GEOScience, Calgary, Canada). The field contains seven complex fractured limestone, sandstone oil and gas condensate reservoirs. Five reservoir simulation models were developed. Performed data collection, reservoir characterization, and fluid characterization and simulation studies for five reservoirs. These five models were built for the development and optimization of desired reservoir effluents (oil & condensate) of the field.

PRESSURE MAINTENANCE PROJECT OF FIMKASSAR OIL FIELD:
Performance Monitoring of "Pressure Maintenance Project" water injection in Sakessar reservoir of Field. Improve production through water flooding surveillance activities.

Saphir (Kappa), Topaze, Pan System Graphics (EPS). Fast Well Test (Fekete), OFM (Oil Field Manager). Eclipse, Simbest-II (Work Bench), Word, Excel and Power Point etc.
