WORK EXPERIENCE
I have approximately 10 to 11 years of experience in a large reputed hard core engineering company which caters to various industries out of which 4 to 5 years in International trade business. The details are outlined hereunder starting with the present employment.
JULY 2004 ONWARDS
working with various foreign companies directly as their Indian Representative (Business Development Manager) such as Gayesco USA, hpi, VFF, & Provalve Germany.
Responsible for an annual turnover of 0.5 million US$ in India with greater emphasis in Mumbai.
Orders received are
1) IOCL Panipat for DCU & CDU/VDU Heaters for Skin Thermocouples through Petron (Gayesco USA)
2) IOCL Panipat for Px1, Px2 Heaters for Skin Thermocouples through EIL (Gayesco USA)
3) BPCL LOBS Heater Project for Skin Thermocouples through Petron (Gayesco USA)
4) BPCL LOBS Reactor Project for Skin Thermocouples through Toyo Engg (Gayesco USA)
5) Nocil (RCD) for High Pressure Globe Valves through Provalve Germany
6) IOCL Panipat Project for Inert Ceramic Balls
Responsibilities include:
- Incharge of Business development for entire India, generating enquiries, deal creation & closing.
- Liasoning with principals, co-ordination with clients, contractors & consultants.
- Project Planning, monitoring, scheduling and Coordination.
- Searching new international vendors based on the enquiry received.
- Project Progress reporting to Management and Client.
- To Analyze the schedule and suggest corrective actions for timely completion of project.
- Knowledge of Global Procurement Norms, familiar with local & international vendors, Logistics, EXIM policy, INCOTERMS etc.
- Handling major customers like IOCL, BPCL, EIL, Reliance, Petron, Nocil & various consultants like Toyo, KPG etc
JANUARY 2002 to JUNE 2004
With RJ Engineering Systems Inc a US based project management & International trading company giving global industrial solutions in the field of project management, process control, special metals, chemicals, package units & technology transfers sourcing from USA, Australia, Canada, Europe & Japan.
We have exclusive agreements with many US companies like TCP, GAYESCO, PROVALVE, SST, GO Carlson, Target Rock, American Pipe Bending & Ggosco valves Canada.
Working as an Indian Representative (Business Development Manager).
RJ has an annual turnover of 3 million US$ in India with greater emphasis in Mumbai.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Incharge for business development, generating enquiries, preparing techno commercial offers, deal creation & closing, payment collections etc.
- Knowledge of Global Procurement Norms, familiar with India & international vendors, Logistics, EXIM policy, INCOTERMS etc.
- Marketing of imported engineering items related to Oil & Gas, Offshore Platforms, Chemical, Petro-chemical, Fertilizer, Power, Food & other industry on request.
- Market plan & strategy for new business opportunities & Key accounts management.
- Handling major customers like Larsen & Toubro, Reliance Ind, IOCL, BPCL, Nocil, Petron & various consultants.
ACHIEVEMENTS IN RJ
Some of the major orders booked were
1) Qatar Fertilizer, Oman Fert, Burrup Fert through L&T(HED) worth 1.5 million US$.
2) Reliance industry for their Polyester projects like CP9 & NG3 worth 1.0 million US$.
3) MNW, HRC, BPA Platforms for ONGC through L&T(OGSP) & Dolphin Offshore worth 2.0 million US$.
MARCH 1996 - DECEMBER 2002
With Jasubhai Engineering Limited (a JS Group - Fisher Rosemount India Ltd. Company) as a Senior Engineer (Contracts & Procurement).
[JS Group of companies has an annual turnover of Rs. 300 crore with its presence in various industries like Process, Power, Refineries, Fertilizer etc.]
I have been dealing with all Boiler OEM's like Isgec John Thompson, Cethar Vessels Ltd, Bharat Heavy Plate Vessels Ltd, Walchandnagar Ind. Ltd, Thermax Ltd, Thermax Babcock & Wilcox Ltd & also directly with end users like IPCL, HPCL, CRL, MRL, naval Dockyard etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To do process design calculations, material & energy balance, sizing of equipments, marketing of industrial products like Oil fired, Gas fired, Dual fuel & Multi fuel fired Burner system with its accessories to OEM's & end users of Boilers. These burner systems are manufactured jointly with TODD Combustion Limited UK presently taken over by John Zink UK.
- Liaising with Principals, customers, consultants for generation of enquiry and finalisation of the order.
- Preparing of Techno-commercial offers, technical discussions with clients, co-ordination with consultants, cost estimation of items & equipments.
- Conducting Market Survey for new products (low NOx Burners, Hot Air Generators, Incinerators)
- Preparing Marketing Plans & Strategies & can holds sound commercial knowledge.
- Preparations of drawings like P&I, GA, layout & specification sheets for bought out items.
- Procurement of bought out items like pumps, motors, heat exchangers, filters, instrumentation items, industrial valves etc.
- Sourcing & qualification of vendors, preparation & floating of bid enquiries, negotiating & placing the order.
ACHIEVEMENTS IN JS GROUP
- Indigenised many components of Burner Systems which saved around 20% of Prime Cost of the Equipment.
- Manifold jump in Order Booking during the period 1996-1998
- Development of new products related to Combustion Engineering (eg: Low Nox Burners, Hot Air Generator).
- Some of the major projects/orders received & handled
1) Revamping of burner system for Naval Dockyard: - 50 Lacs.
2) Revamping of burner system for HPCL through WIL: - 40 Lacs.
3) Supply of burner system for Saraswati sugar mills: - 25 Lacs.
4) Supply of burner system for Narmada Chematur Petrochemicals Ltd: - 15 Lacs
AUGUST 1994 - MARCH 1996
With Coen Bharat Limited (sister concern of M/s Dalal Consulting Engineers Pvt Ltd) as Proposal Engineer. Coen Bharat Ltd is a 20 crore Company having technical collaboration with Coen Co. USA. It is premier company dealing with Combustion equipments like Burners, Hot Air Generators, Thermic Fluid Heaters etc.)
- Estimation of Project cost before tendering, Preparation of Techno-commercial offers.
- Preparation of preliminary P & I diagram, GA drawing, Plant Layout etc.
- To do process design calculation which includes Material Balance, Energy Balance, Heat Transfer etc.
- Techno-commercial discussion with Customers, Consultants.
