PROJECT MANAGER Jan 1995 - current
1. April 2004 - to present. Project Manager
Saudi Arabian Fertilizer Co. SAFCO IV. Extension Project. Jubail. Saudi Arabia. Main Contractor, UHDE GmbH, Germany
The project is designed to increase the total capacity by 1.2 Million TPA of Ammonia and 1.5 million TPA of Urea and includes:
Primary Reformer
Ammonia
Pipe Racks
Urea Synthesis
Office utilities including Ammonia Storage and Urea Storage Buildings.
The project execution comprised of design/detailing, fabrication of the steel structure by Hidada and coordination with UHDE GmbH and India Office and the Construction Contractor for the structure, equipment erection and piping installation.
2. Sept 2003 to Feb 2004, PROJECT MANAGER
Yanbu (YANPET) PETROCHEMICAL COMPLEX, Yanbu, Saudi Arabia.
The plant includes an ethylene plant, for which Hidada supplied the steel structure, heater casing and pipe racks. Activities involves:
Coordination with the ABB LHT for the designing/detailing and prefabrication of the steel structure, at Hidada
Coordination with the Construction Contractor for the erection of the steel structure, pipe rack and ethylene heater casing, insulation and piping.
3. Aug 2000 to Apr 2003 PROJECT MANAGER
Selective Catalytic Reduction Units, for the following Power Plants:
CINERGY PSI, Gibson Generating Station, Owensville, IN, USA.
CINERGY Power Plant, Miami Fort, OH, USA.
CINERGY Power Plant, East Bend, KY, USA.
These projects involve engineering, detailing and expediting of over 25,000 MT of structural steel and coordinating deliveries for erection from Hidada.
4. May 1999 to Aug 2000 PROJECT MANAGER
BASF/ATOFINA Steam Cracker, Port Arthur TX. USA.
The cracker produces 860,000 tpa of ethylene and 860,000 tpa of propylene. The plant includes an ethylene plant, for which Hidada supplied the steel structure, heater casing and pipe racks. Activities involves:
Coordination with the ABB LHT for the designing/detailing and prefabrication of the steel structure, heater casing at Hidada
Coordination with the Construction Contractor for the erection of the steel structure, ethylene heater casing, insulation and piping.
5. Sept 1997 to April 1999 PROJECT MANAGER
Ethylene Cracking Heater Units, OELFINS III Complex, Petrokeymeya, Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
The plant includes an ethylene plant, for which Hidada supplied the steel structure, heater casing and pipe racks. Activities involves:
Coordination with the KTI Manusemann/TECHNIP for the designing/detailing and prefabrication of the steel structure, heater casing, flare rack and pipe rack at Hidada
Coordination with the Construction Contractor for the erection of the steel structure, ethylene heater casing, insulation and piping.
Complete erection of the Heaters at offsite location and moving the complete assembled units to the plant site.
6. April 1996 to Aug 1997, Project Manager
PP9 Riyadh Power Plant, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
This is 1200 MW combined cycle power plant. Hidada provided the Steel structure for the Boiler and Air Cooling Condenser.
Coordination with the CMI, Belgium for the boiler structure and GEA USA for Air Cooling Condenser, for the designing/detailing and prefabrication of the steel structure, at Hidada
Coordination with the Construction Contractor for the erection of the steel structure.
7. Oct 1995 to April 1996, Project Manager
Rabigh Power Plant, Extension, Rabigh, Saudi Arabia
This is 300 MW combined cycle power plant. Hidada provided the Steel structure for the Boiler.
Coordination with the NEM bv, Netherlands, for the team generator ducting, for the designing/detailing and prefabrication, at Hidada
Coordination with the Construction Contractor for the erection of the steel structure.
8. Jan 1995 to Sept 1995
Extension of Berri Gas Plant, Saudi ARAMCO, Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
The project is providing two turbo expander trains to recover ethane contained in the residue has for the existing NGL recovery facilities. Activities involves:
Coordination with the ABB Lummus Global Inc, Houston USA for the designing/detailing and prefabrication of the pipe rack steel structure, at Hidada
Coordination with the Construction Contractor for the erection of the steel structure, insulation and piping.
REPSONSIBLITIES AS PROJECT MANAGER:
Responsible to the Management for the preparation of the following works involved with the project:
* Steel Structure- Pipe rack, Fire Proofing,
* Tank Farms
* Piping
* Mechanical/Insulation/Painting
The duties performed included the following activities:
Direction, co-ordination and control of all phases of pre-fabrication, erection and meeting deadlines for erection schedules.
Dealing wit all aspects of the sub-contractors works, planning, procurement and verification of extra work orders from commencement to completion also ensuring that they meet the requirements of the project spececifications.
Ensuring that all personals on site follow safety procedures.
Preparation of planning exercise associated with various items of the work scope.
Participation in the weekly project meetings with the clients.
Liaison with the vendor representatives to ensure vendor-supplied equipment is specification compliant.
Production of engineering works on site so as to avoid potential clashes between disciplines.
Site resources management during project execution.
