FIELD SERVICE EXPERIENCE
Please visit http://www.cncservices.ws/repair.html for a list of the 30 plus manufacturer brands of machine tools and 14 cnc control brands that have been serviced. These machine tool types include mills (knee, bed (horizontal and vertical), lathes (with barfeeds), grinders and backgauges.
Responsible for the inspection, installation, troubleshooting and repair of all machine systems (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic). Upgrade and option installations. Often work with incomplete instructions and / or documentation. Still complete jobs correctly and can provide written procedures for work accomplished.
Equipment used: laser calibration system, ballbar, granite block, spindle taper test bars, dynamometer, dial indicators, micrometers, height gauges, verniers, vibration balancing of spindles up to 15,000 rpm, oscilloscope, digital volt ohm meter, ammeter and all related mechanical, electrical and electronic hand tools.
Provide instruction on equipment programming, operation and maintenance. Differentiate between machine performance and machining process performance to find actual causes when troubleshooting. Address and resolve customer concerns. Promote company products and services. Computer link with company headquarters for scheduling, parts and technical information. On site laptop demos of CAM software translating CAD files into conversational or G code programs and downloading to machine.
DNC sales and installation, hardwire and wireless.
Retrofit quotes, sales and installations for mills and lathes(cnc controls and ac variable frequency drives).
Rigging(quote, sale and labor, have moved up to 20 ton machines) and transportation(have class B license, would be interested in getting class A if needed for job).
Used equipment purchasing and selling.
Travel, 80 %, USA east of the Mississippi river and Canada.
