Joined Paksitan Telecommunications Company Ltd (the official telecommunication administration of Pakistan) in Sept 1996 and completed one year Pre-service training at Telecommunications Staff College Haripur, Pakistan. The training included the fields of Digital Switching Systems (EWSD,AXE-10, E-10B), Digital Transmission (Digital Radio Systems, PCM-30 systems, 565 Mbits Optical fiber systems, microwave systems), Mobile Communications, signaling, power plant, air conditioning, outside network (underground cable, overhead lines), computer hardware and software and data communication. I also completed a project "Database for Accounts Branch" for keeping a record of the staff college employees' salaries and other accounting matters.
DISTINCTIONS
First position in Peshawar Board in the Intermediate (Pre-Engineering) Examination and was awarded GOLD MEDAL by the Governor of North-West Frontier Province.
Declared BEST STUDENT of Cadet College Kohat.
Awarded National Talent Scholarship by Peshawar Board for four years study at the University of Engineering & Technology, Peshawar.

EXPERIENCE PROFILE
Signal Corps Headquarters, MODA, Saudi Arabia (May 2001 to date )
Supervising the O&M of the communication systems of the Signal Corps Headquarters and suggesting on system improvements, upgradation and expansions, RFP write-up, bid valuation, System testing & Acceptance etc. The different comm systems in use are VSAT, MD110 switches, EDACS(Enhanced digital access comm system), Radio Relay 432A, Optical Fiber and VHF and UHF Radio systems. Designed database in Access which shows a digital map and clicking on a site shows all the details about the site with ability to print the details and generate various reports. Also upgraded the HF radio systems and tested the operation for voice, fax and data communication. I have also been involved in the installation of HF, VHF radios and encryption equipment for the signal corps.

Promoted and posted as Divisional Engineer (Inspection), Hazara Telecom Region. Duties included ensuring fault free telecom facilities in the entire region.
Pakistan Telecom Co Ltd, Pakistan (August 1996, May 2001)
Worked as Assistant Divisional Engineer Phones SIE, Abbottabad from August 2000 to May 2001. Job responsibilities included administration of the sub division, underground cable maintenance and fault tracing, line and wire installation and maintenance, supervision and maintenance of outside plant and power plant. Successfully computerized outside plant data and subscriber records in MS Access.
Worked as Assistant Divisional Engineer, Digital Exchange (transit + local), Abbottabad from August 1998 to August 2000. Job responsibilities included maintenance of EWSD switching system, creation of AMA and Quarterly saving tapes, subscriber administration, zoning and routing administration, maintenance of exchange batteries and rectifiers and ensuring smooth operation of the transmission equipment connecting Abbottabad exchange with its 5 RLUs and 34 other exchanges. Successfully managed conversion of 18 Small Digital Exchanges into Remote Line Units, a task usually done by vendor personnel.
Worked as Assistant Divisional Engineer in the Operation and Maintenance Center (OMC), Peshawar from October 1997 to August 1998. Responsibilities included:
- Carrying out O&M of installed Siemens EWSD switches including local,tandem & transit
- Trouble shooting problems, identification of alarms/malfunctions and initiating corrective actions
- Performing all activities pertaining to network management and setting up necessary modalities to achieve online real time monitoring of exchanges
- Acceptance testing and commissioning of new hardware
- Analysis of traffic profiles & dimensioning of network accordingly, recording and observation of traffic data, calculating service quality parameters
- Administration of traffic routing, tariffs and charging, ccs7 and E&M signaling links
- Managing the OMC Spare Pool, arranging collection of faulty modules/equipment, their repair and distribution among the 26 MSUs (main switching units), 105 remote line units and SDEs controlled from OMC Peshawar. Designed a database in MS Access to handle the huge amount of data involved in this process.
