PERSONAL PROFILE
I am a confident, articulate and hardworking mechanical engineer with a strong background in marine mechanical engineering gained through actual experience working as 3rd & 4th engineer in oil tankers. This role has enabled me to develop excellent troubleshooting skills and an ability to make decisions effectively within a pressurised environment within shipboard safety and HSE of my company regulations.

To pursue my passion for mechanical engineering I have taken the initiative to work in oil tankers to gain a good experience with the working machinery on these floating cites which includes all types of machinery. This has equipped me with a responsibility and safety wise actions.

My future aims and objectives contain gaining an onshore / offshore technical support role within a special company where I will be able to build upon my current experience and achievements.

Joined ADNATCO (Abu Dhabi National Tanker company) from 2001 to 2005

Joined (M.T. Al-Dhibyaniyyah) in Sep. 2004 as 3rd Engineer until Feb 2005.

Joined (M.T. Al-Dhabiyyah) in July 2003 until March 2004, then I was promoted to 3rd engineer rank & Transferred to (M.T. Janana /sulphur ship) until June 2004.

Joined (M.T. Baynunah) as 4th Eng. in July 2002 until May 2003.

Joined (M.T. Yamilah), in May 2001 as training engineer for four month, then promoted to fourth engineer. Were I completed my contract in May 2002.

SCOPE OF WORK
* Responsible for diesel generators (1000 kw rating output) & Boilers, making all the required maintenance as the planed maintenance schedule, starting from daily routine checks to major overhauls on the generators.

* Maintenance of the Purifiers, air compressors, all types of pumps & safety equipment in the engine room.

* Responsible for the operation, inspection and maintenance of the machinery inboard the ship. And ensuring that this machinery is working according to the company technical manuals and ensure that all the maintenance is carried out as the company and the maker instruction within safe practice.

* Diagnosing and fault finding for the running machinery.

* Testing all the safety alarms and trips for the diesel generators, main engine, air compressors, and purifiers.

* Water tests for the running systems to ensure that all the operating and cooling water systems are doused correctly as required by the company manuals.

* Implementing full load test on the diesel generators every month to check the running parameters and to correct any malfunction and maintaining the required running parameters.

* Maintenance of the boiler as per the running hours and ensuring that all the parameters are within limit to obtain the good combustion and the correct air /fuel ratio as required.

* Responsible of bunkering of the fuel oil and diesel oil.

* Implementing of the planned maintenance system on the machinery.

* Watch keeping routine, through checking that all machinery working within the required.

* Data logging for all the machinery working parameters.

* Assisting the 2nd engineer on the working aspects and on team mangment.
