• Class presentation on "Effect of particle size on oil in water emulsions".

• Providing on-site expertise/technical know-how to assist in solving operating problems related with cooling water and improve plant productivity.
• Sales for the site increased from 10 million Rs to 15 million Rs. Chemicals sold were corrosion inhibitors, dispersants, copper corrosion inhibitors, non-oxidizing biocides and closed loop inhibitor.
• Responsible for chemical applications in cooling tower systems, closed cooling water systems and calculations that covers water treatment applications.
• Involved in commissioning and operation of pre-cleaning and passivation of the pipelines during plant start up.
• Chemical analysis of the water samples for the laboratory based tests like measurement of pH, turbidity, calcium hardness, chlorides, phosphates, alkalinity, Sulfate Reducing Bacteria (SRB) and Total Bacterial Count (TVC) and corrosion rates. Equipment's used were Jar test, Gas chromatography, polysonic, spectrophotometer, Turbidity meter etc.
• Commissioning and operation of process water treatment for the desalter in the Crude Distillation Unit.
• Inspection of heat exchangers for corrosion, scaling and fouling during plant shutdowns.
• Unloading, storing, transfers and chemical feed adjustments as directed.
• Supervised sand filter cleaning and localized dosing for corroded heat exchangers.
• Preparing daily and monthly reports and maintaining a variety of records, reports and logs.
• Have successfully handled towers during sweet and sour leaks.

• Design of heat exchangers and distillation columns for improvement projects.
• Assisted in preparing PFD, PID's, mass and energy balances.
