Duration: 3 months
* Provided rigorous hi-fidelity dynamic simulator for Hydrocracker Unit in BAPCO. Coordinated in Process model development using AUDYSIM software package (Dynamic Simulation package), which is a copyright of TRIDENT COMPUTER RESOURCES, INC. It offers complete flexibility to processes dynamically and in real time. It can be applied for wide spectrum of uses, ranging from process operator training to complex control system studies, process debottlenecking and optimization
* Process modeling begins first by marking the scope of the project followed by collecting datas, PFD's, PID's from the plant (Hydrocracker Unit). A complete Material balance & Heat balance is done. Then the source coding is done with help of a vast Simulation Models User Library. This Library consists of Programs, which are mathematical models for Heat Exchangers, Flow through pipes, pumps, Controllers, Compressor and many others. The entire source coding is done in FORTRAN language
2. Suggested & provided trouble shooting on the Training Simulator in HPCL Mumbai refinery, India
Duration: 15 days
* Suggested & provided trouble shooting on the Training Simulator in HPCL Mumbai refinery. The problem lied in the inability of the instructor in selecting the desired simulation program. Analyzing and implementing changes in the entire source code of the system files of the software sorted it out
3. Implemented TAC & MPC On Hydrogen Unit In Reliance Industries Ltd. (Jamnagar), India
Duration: 3 months
* Worked with an experienced team to lay APC on Hydrogen Unit in RIL, in order to counter the disturbances such as, failure of PSA bed, variation in RFG feed flow and composition & deviation in COT at reformer outlet
* APC was implemented in two layers. The first layer is Traditional Advanced Control (TAC). TAC is a modular control algorithm done on the DCS (FOXBORO) ICC - Integrated Control Configurator, which provides software blocks such as AIN, AOUT, CALCA, PIDA, SEQUENCE for continuous, sequence and laderlogic control. The second layer is Model Predictive Control (MPC). MPC are a complex single large controllers which encompasses several manipulated and controlled variables in a single controller matrix. This strategy was used for COT Stabilization in H2 Unit at RPL
4. Involved in Pilot Plant Training for Scale Up & Modelling of Reactors in National Petrochemical Company (NPC), Iran
Duration: 15 days

* Worked with an experienced team in Process model development using SIM2K software package. This package is very similar to AUDYSIM Software package. SIM2K is copyright of AUTODYNAMICS. Here also the process modelling begins first by marking the scope of the project followed by collecting datas, PFD's, PID's from the plant (Advanced Distillation Unit). The source coding is done with help of a vast Simulation Models User Library which is similar to AUDYSIM.
* This complex Unit consists of a Depropanizer column and a Debutanizer column.
* The entire source coding is done in Visual C++ language
