- Developed a multi-period start-up model of refinery for short term and strategic planning, using P-PIMS. This model was quite useful during the commissioning phase of the refinery.
- Assisted in crude procurement strategies and development of crude databases using PAssMan (PIMS Assay Manager).
- Studied approximately 90 critical parameters in refinery and determined impact of their deviation on daily gross margin.
* Commissioning, Performance Test Run, Revamping Strategies, Process Simulation:-
- Commissioned Fluidized Catalytic Cracker (FCC) Unit. Prepared daily mass balance and technical report, coordinated with operations and various other groups to ensure smooth operation.
- Conducted a performance test run to evaluate revamping options. This test run provided a basis to top management to push operations and successfully resulted in increasing the throughput to 127%.
- Simulated FCC main column, strippers, absorber, debutanizer column etc. using Aspen Plus.
