18 years experience in Design, Drafting & Estimating all relating to Oil and Gas, Petrochemical Industries and Commercial Industries & Buildings utilizing AutoCAD, StruCAD and MicroStation CADD packages.
* Working as Senior Designer/Checker with M/s.Maritime Industrial Services Co. Ltd. Inc (MIS), EPC Contractor, Sharjah, UAE since March 1997 in the area of Structural for Oil & Gas (offshore) projects.
* Worked as Senior Designer with M/s.Belleli Saudi Heavy Industries, Jubail, Saudi Arabia, from February 1994 to March 1997 in the area of Structural steel for Oil & Gas (offshore) projects.
* Worked as Designer with M/s.Sonata Software. (Engineering Group), Consulting Engineers, Bangalore, India from June 1987 to January 1994 in the area of Civil, Structural steel RCC structures for Oil & Gas and Power (onshore) projects.
FIELD OF EXPERIENCE
* Preparation of scope of works and Specifications for Civil/Structural engineering works.
* Developed detailed design engineering drawings using information from various sources which may include Civil / Structural design calculations, Conceptual designs. Vendor drawings, catalog data, engineering sketches, Reference drawings and input from other disciplines.
* Conducts field investigations, produces clear field reports with detailed sketches, written and verbal instructions.
* Basic Design to Detailed Engineering of Civil, Structural steel, Reinforced concrete, Architectural and Prepare As-Built drawings.
* Preparation of material take-off (MTO), Bill of Quantity (BOQ) & Bar bending schedules as per BS: 4466 from detailed shop drawings / Tender documents.
* Reviews and checks design drawings and vendor shop drawings.
* Coordinates design information with other disciplines in the development of complete drawing package
* Assists Department Supervisor / Engineer in providing directions to Design team.
* Performs project related tasks such as scope development, Estimating, Scheduling and job status.
* Performs department planning tasks such as manpower forecasting, work assignments, Proposals and Developed Engineering standards & Guidelines.
* Interaction with Clients, Vendors and providing technical support to site construction groups/team.
* Knowledge of the International codes (i.e. API, ASTM, ANSI, DIN, BS codes), Practices and standards especially relating to Oil & Gas Industry (i.e. Petroleum Development of Oman, Qatar Petroleum-Qatar, Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco), ADNOC Group of Companies [i.e. ZADCO, DPC, GASCO, SHELL Design & Engineering practices).
