Operation Engineer: September 2001 to date
Working as operation Engineer at Crude Distillation & Vacuum Distillation Unit. Also worked with "CENTUM CS" DCS system of yokogawa.

Annual Turnaround:
* Preparation procedure & supervision at crude distillation & vacuum distillation unit
* Inspection of all major equipments like Distillation column, Desalters, Furnaces & heat exchangers etc.
* Coordination for startup & shutdown activities.

Job Responsibilities:
* To maintain routine operation of plant.
* To work for the optimization of the plant.
* To generate and analyze safe operating procedure for different jobs such as Shut down, Startup, Emergency condition and other routine maintenance jobs at plant.
* To handle different kinds of emergencies while maintaining plant routine operation, thus reducing down time of plant.
* Provide contact engineering support for various refinery processes including Senior Level Engineer to Crude & Vacuum Distillation Crude Stabilization De-Salter operation.
* Support requires answering technical inquiries, making technical recommendations, providing process troubleshooting, and developing process procedures.
* Carries out various studies to improve plant safety, reliability, economics & product specification
* Conduct test runs to optimize process variables and evaluate plant performance..
* Developing procedures and support for commissioning of new facilities.
* Provide mentoring and transfer of knowledge, skills and experience to young engineers.
* Performance Monitoring of the Unit w.r.t o Feed Quality o Product Yields o Product Quality o Equipment Performance o Fuel & Energy Conservation o Chemical Consumption
Reports:
* Daily, weekly, monthly, biannually and annual reports envisaging the unit performance to optimize energy and chemical consumption besides better unit operation.
* Monitoring unit through real time data Process Information & Control System (PICS).
