Located at Bechtel Tower, Houston and serving as the Owners representative for the FEED stage of design and constructability of the Marine Terminal facilities of the Brass Liquefied Natural Gas Project (eventually to be constructed in Nigeria). This includes the construction dock and logistics base, which requires design and construction input. Also providing assistance on other Offshore construction issues.

July 2004 – June 2005:

Development of the Karabatan Oilfield at West Eskene, Kazakhstan.
Senior Civil Supervisor.
AGIP Site Representative for the Civils discipline. Based at West Eskene for the development of the Kashagan Field. Currently working on the infrastructure and early works phase of the project. Liaising with the Main Contractor. 2000 - 2002:
Teknica Enterprises (UK) Ltd.
Civil Supervisor.
Construction of a gas utilization, uplift and exporting facility enabling gas taken from existing high and low pressure sources to be raised in pressure by 8 No. compressors, a portion to be purified by Gas Sweetening Units for export sale and the remainder to be used for injection into a gas-lift system to improve the yield of existing oil wells. Duties included:
* Review and approval of the contractor's site design & construction proposals.
* Liaison between the Client and the Contractor at site level, attendance at site meetings and issuance of site correspondence.
* Trouble shooting problems due to constructability, required design changes, etc.
* Inspection and control of the works for the duration of the project. The activities included excavation, laying and backfilling of cross-country pipelines, on-plot buried piping, electrical / instrument cabling, structural steel erection and production & pouring of concrete.
* Input into the creation of the contractor's quality control procedures and Inspection & Testing plans.
* Verification of the certification of Civil and Structural materials delivered to the site.
* Maintenance of drawing registers and other site document control.
* Witnessing sampling and testing of materials in laboratory.

Client: Arabian Gulf Oil Company. Location: Nafoora Oil Field, Libya.

2000:
ABB Alstom Power:
QA/QC Manager.
In charge of QA and QC activities for the construction of a 140 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant. Duties included creation of master plan for creation of certification packages for all phases of work, verification of the certification of materials delivered to the site, verification of applied paint systems, witnessing of tank construction and testing (to API 650), approval of all subcontractors' QC plans and overseeing the construction QC.
Location: Gaza, Palestine. Client: Enron.

1999:

a) (As Main Contractor):
QC Manager (Civil): Wrote QA and QC procedures in London office and later implemented on site for the construction of a water treatment plant at Caroni, Trinidad.
b) (As Client's Consultant):
Civil Engineer: For the construction of two oil storage tanks, marine oil jetty with on-shore access ramp, 12 km of pipeline (2 km under Benghazi Promenade) and two pipe bridges. Supervised and inspected the construction activities. Reviewed for approval all of the Contractor's civil related design and construction submittals. Location: Benghazi, Libya.

1997 –1998:
Atlantic LNG Company of Trinidad & Tobago Ltd. (Client):
Civil & Structural Lead Engineer.
Construction of an LNG Plant (value $1 billion).
Responsible for the Civil & Structural aspects of work during the construction phase. Coordinated and managed the plant construction interfaces with Engineering and Procurement Departments. Monitored and assisted in resolving progress and schedule impacts. Assured that specified quality was obtained during construction by jointly (with Contractors) reviewing and organizing QC procedures and Inspection & Test Plans. Assisted with verification of the Contractor's certification and final deliverables packages. Participated in Bechtel's Safety Workshop and constant review of safety. Reviewed for approval Bechtel's materials and method statement proposals.
Project scope: 2 No. LNG Tanks (45m high with pre-stressed concrete outer walls, carbon steel vapour barriers, cryogenic concrete ring beams, under-floor insulation, sub-tank heating system, inner tanks of 9% nickel steel and domed roofs raised by compressed air), LNG Jetty, 1 No. LNG Process Train, Process & Non-process Buildings, Steel Pipe Racks & Process Area Structures (4300t total steel), Paved Roads, Concrete Structures (i.e. Jetty Loading Area and deck beams, equipment foundations and pedestals, compressor support deck, building foundations). The project was completed ahead of schedule and within budget.
Supervised the operations of the Main Contractor Bechtel International, Inc. and subcontractors Whessoe, Ballast Nedam and others.
Client: Atlantic LNG Company of Trinidad & Tobago Ltd. Location: Trinidad.

1997 (Feb-Jul):
Consolidated Contractors International Company (Sub Contractor)
Civil QC & QA Manager.
Construction of an LNG Plant.
Responsible for ensuring that civil construction was accomplished in accordance with the specifications & drawings and the Quality Management Plan to ISO 9001. Prepared inspection and test plans. Reviewed and updated Quality Procedures. Carried out internal audits.
Project scope: included construction of equipment foundations, LNG tanks, condensate tanks, reinforced concrete pipe racks and sea water intake and discharge structures.
Client: RASGAS. Location: Ras Laffan, Qatar.

1996 - 1997:
M.W.Kellogg Ltd. (Main Contractor, part of TSKJ Joint Venture).
Civil Engineer for the construction of an LNG Plant.
Responsibilities included: Supervision of construction of Residential Area & Office Buildings, LNG storage tank, condensate tanks, materials Jetty and LNG Jetty. Performed quality control activities. Wrote inspection and test plans. Replied to Site Engineering Queries from sub-contractors and reported on progress.
Location: Bonny Island, Nigeria. Client: Shell/Nigeria LNG Ltd.

1995-1996:
Page & Sambrooke Ltd.
Project Manager for Client's Consultants.
Installation of a pre-stressed concrete pipeline (2.6m diameter) from the Great Man Made River to Tripoli.

1994 - 1995:

Senior Civil QC Engineer.
Construction of a 3.5 km. long oil terminal jetty (pre-stressed, pre-cast concrete beams on tubular steel driven piles) and on-shore approach road. Scope of duties included quality control of batch plants, casting & pre-stressing yards, piling, all civil items on the jetty and terminal and compilation of documentation for final certification.

1992 - 1993:

Part of Saudi ARAMCO Project Management Team. Development of a large (150 oil wells) on-shore oilfield with associated Roadways, Airfield, Industrial & Residential
Complex, GOSP, Field Control Center, etc. Interfaced with ARAMCO Inspection to ensure that work executed by various contractors (e.g. ABB Lummus, Al Mojil, Al
Khodari, etc.) was in accordance with ARAMCO and project standards and specifications. Reported progress and areas of concern and sought solutions.

1990 -1991:
Dar Al Riyadh Consultants. (Consultants for Client).
QA Manager on behalf of the General Directorate of Military Works for the construction of a large (area approximately 4000 sq. km.) Air Base including roads, runways, hangars, fuel & oil storage and other facilities & buildings.
Location: Al Bayadh, Al Kharj, Central Saudi Arabia. Client: GDMW, Saudi Arabia.

1987 -1990:

Construction of a 4-meter diameter pre-stressed pre-cast concrete pipeline 2000 kilometers in length to transport sub-Saharan water from Southern to Northern Libya to irrigate the coastal areas and provide potable water to the cities of Benghazi and Tripoli. Spent the first year in the pipe manufacturing plant at Brega and the remaining two years acted as Spread Manager on a 300 km. stretch of the pipeline installation.

1984 -1987:

Responsible for monitoring and ensuring that the selection, utilisation and testing of all construction materials by the Main Contractor was in accordance with the specifications and standards for the construction of a large ($600 Million) Air Base consisting of runways, taxiways, crew accommodation, jet fuel pipelines, other facilities and 16
heavily reinforced, armoured, bomb-proof aircraft shelters..

Langtang in Northern Nigeria.

1971-1982:

UK based position. Was involved in design, estimation and running projects on site in the field of Ground Engineering.
