PROFESSIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE
As BHPI Senior Engineer;
A.) I am tasked to validate overall job instructions prior to work implementation. Determines the schedules and manpower loading for each project. Act as lead engineer for all basic design jobs.
B.) Supervise and give instructions (scheme) to detailer in accordance with the standards and detailing procedures in the preparation of erection and fabrication drawings; Constantly coordinate with the client for clarifications, queries and additional information that may be lacking in the received design document.
C.) Check all Basic Design: manual calculations as well as the interpretation of result of StaadPro analysis and provide the most suitable recommendations and solutions for difficult conditions; Check all Detail Design: fabrication and erection drawings and observe if schedules are strictly followed; Prepares field alterations and acceptable working procedures for problematic situations; Performs other related duties such as field engineering assistance for pre and post assembly of structures.
D.) Report the design man-hours against the budget man-hours, and monitor project consumables and equipments utilized on each work before project conclusion.
As BHPI Design Engineer III;
A.) Prepares Basic Design of various steel structures, where applicable codes and standards are used; These design is then supplemented and aided through the use of design software like StaadPro.
B.) Initiates the study of reference drawings and pertinent documents for the preparation of erection and fabrication drawings; Prepared Detail Design, such as beam plan & skeleton drawings including type of connection detail, fabrication drawings of structural members (i.e. columns, girders, beams, platforms, handrails, gratings, etc.) using Xsteel and Autocad software; material take-off, specification sheets (purchase, change order, production order), bolt list and supply list, material withdrawal, document transmittal, control of drawings and other related documents to ensure an effective compliance of ISO 9001. Coordinates with co-engineers and shop skilled people and performs other related works such as field verification and gathering of technical data that maybe required during erection.
As FDC Structural Engineer;
A.) Prepared structural shop drawings and bar bending schedule, for the purpose of fabrication forecasting and estimating purposes.
B.) Prepared all necessary design calculation documents: design specifications, loading computations, design calculation sheet (by MS-Excel spreadsheet) (design of beams, slab, stairs, column, footing, etc. for concrete and masonry structure), framing plans, space frame modeling, material sizing and analysis.
C) Attended coordination meetings with clients such as Intra-Discipline Check (IDC), Inter-Discipline Review (IDR) and Inter-Technical Review (ITR).
As FDC Jr. Highway / Civil Engineer;
A.) Prepared preliminary geometric road and highway design such as horizontal and vertical alignments, super-elevation, contour and grade lines for water supply and drainage.
B.) Prepared standard drawings of plan and profile, road cross-section by means of AutoCad.
C.) Conducted site inventory / investigation of existing roads, highways, interchanges, bridges, guardrails, abutment, slope-protection, rip-raps, culverts, ditches, fence, etc.
As WGCC Civil Engineer Aide;
- Prepared unit cost analysis, quantity take-off and estimate, bill of quantities, evaluate work and construction schedule. Determined the local and foreign components of the project cost; cash flow, PERT-CPM and bar charts and S-Curve for the project.
