WORK EXPERIENCE
January 2006 till date:
Working as Team Leader, Community Management – HSE Department, Eni Pakistan Limited, an Italy based multinational Oil and Gas Company in its head office in Karachi, Pakistan.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the team for the effective development and implementation of strategic health management systems to improve health of the employees and surrounding community.
* Advise and manage occupational health aspects including health surveillance programs and pre-employment medical check –ups in compliance in compliance with the Company policy, OGP guidelines and industrial best practices.
* Promote health aspects by assessment of risks related to life style and environment, information on general health, and implementation of health monitoring plan for employees.
* Close coordination with the referring hospitals/medical consultants for timely referrals of patients and prompt assistance during their stay in hospital and in annual check-ups.
* Conduct internal audits to determine conformance against OHSAS 18001 requirement and identify the gaps between current and required standards, procedures and practices.
* Supervise the development of plans and monitoring of all healthcare and developmental projects at different field locations.
* Devise and monitor the key performance indicators for all healthcare facilities.
* Active member of Emergency Response Team in head office.
* Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasting.
* Reporting to senior management about the progress of strategic health programs.
September 2000 till January 2006:
Worked as Manager and Senior Medical Officer in the department of Outpatient Services and Family Medicine at The Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, Pakistan.
Responsibilities:
* Provide Primary and Occupational Health care including pre-employment medical examination, vaccinations, and educate the prevention of diseases and disorders by advising patients on diet, exercise, hygiene and general health.
* Responsible of handling medical emergencies in Community Health Center of AKUH.
* Actively participate in the weekly Continuous Medical Education (CME) programs on various presentations on Family Medicine and Occupational Medicine topics.
* Coordinated and advice various multinational companies about their medical screening procedures, other occupational health issues and setup of field clinic operations.

Responsibilities:
Medical and Occupational Health Services
* Provide emergency and occupational health care to the company and contractors' employees, preliminary examination of the new employees and performing medical monitoring of employees potentially exposed to occupational health hazards.
* Developed and implemented occupational health procedures in the company and developed an occupational health manual for the information and guidance of management and line supervisors on various occupational health issues.
