Seeking position as E&I Inspector. My goal is to work in Oil & Gas Onshore/Offshore. Special interest in Offshore Oil & Gas Production Platform, FPSO, Oil & Gas refinery plant.

EXPERIENCE:
Broad experience in E&I installation in Fabrication of Offshore Production Platform, FPSO, D.P Cable Laying Vessel and Oil & Gas Refinery Plant. (Knowledgeable in industry standard recommended practice: NEC 500, IEC/NEC 505, API RP14C, 14F.

Nov. 2003 To July 31, 2005:

Position Held: E & I Engineer and E & I Inspector
Scope of Service:
Position Objective and General Responsibilities:
In a joint effort with others in JVPC Project Group, Production Group, Drilling Group in conjunction with designated Company (Engineering/Procurement and Construction), to participate as an E&I Engineer/Inspector related to:
- Well Head Platform – WHP-C1 Project:
- Central Liquid Processing Platform – CLPP
- Existing Well Head Platform Modifications – WHP-E1, WHP-S1 & WHP-N1
- Other Works as may required by company
Main Task and Specific responsibilities:
Engineering & Procurement stage:
- To review engineering drawings, data sheets, technical requisition and specifications. Confirm engineering contractor's is compliance to the company's requirements on electrical and instrumentation system, including telecommunication and fire & gas system.
- To perform technical bid evaluation (TBE) and support procurement team in technical clarifications to the vendors.
- Review detail engineering before issued for construction (IFC/AFC drawings)
- To attend and witness Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) on all the E&I equipment and package equipment. Verify equipments meet the applicable job specifications under purchase contract.
Construction and commissioning stage:
- To perform onshore and offshore inspection, supervision and monitoring of construction contractor scope of works.
- Punch listing (onshore & offshore) as per projects specifications and requirements.
- Responsible for reporting to QA/QC Manager any deviations and non-compliance from company specification discovered during inspection.
- To ensure all non-compliance items are re-instated/repaired accordingly prior to commissioning and acceptance.
- To act as client representative during pre-commissioning, commissioning and final acceptance of all Electrical, Instrumentation, Fire & Gas and Communication Systems.
- To establish and maintain a good working relationship with the various contractors and their respective personnel.
- To carry out ad hoc tasks directed by the Project Manager and or Chief Engineer and QA/QC Manager when required.

February 2003 To September 2003:

Carry out inspection of Electrical/Instrumentation and Communication works on Living Quarter Module and Access Bridges and report direct to Chief Inspector for day-to-day activities. Responsible for reporting to Chief Inspector any deviations from company specifications discovered during inspections. Monitoring of works progress, supervision and giving technical advice to contractor's engineer and supervisors for E/I/C installation. Responsible for sign off of Contractor reports relating to Electrical/Instrumentation and Communication works. Witness and acceptance of pre-commissioning and testing of Electrical, Instrumentation and Communication systems.

Year 2001 To 2003:

Project: "D.P Cable Laying and Repair Vessels" Tyco Submarine systems ltd.
Location: Keppel Offshore and Marine Shipyard, Benoi Singapore
Position Held: E & I Engineer / Supervisor
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for inspection of Installation, Termination and Testing of cables, equipments and instruments for ship's Electric Power Generating Plant. Power Distribution System, Control and Monitoring for ship's Automation system, Navigation and Communication system. Cable Handling system and System Interfaces with D.P system.

Year 1996 to 2001:

Project: "FPSO CONVERSION Projects" SBM Offshore System
Location: Sembawang Shipyard, Admiralty Road Singapore
Position Held: E & I Project Engineer (PMT)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the Project Manager for planning and implementation of projects scope of works. Responsible for scheduling and monitoring of works progress. Conduct workshop and onboard inspection of E/I Equipments and Instruments installation, calibration/testing and loop testing prior to commissioning. To co-ordinate with owner representatives, project management production team and engineering design office. Involve in testing and commissioning of equipments. Delegates the job activities to respective engineers/supervisors and subcontractors. To ensure all process of works are compliance with safety requirements, owner specification and class requirements.
Project: "Ship Repairs" (Sembawang Shipyard)
Location: Sembawang Shipyard, Admiralty Road Singapore
Position Held: Electrical Engineer (Electrical Department)
Duties and Responsibilities:
To lead a team of supervisors and technicians in ship repair projects, testing, troubleshooting and commissioning of electrical and automation of ships systems. To assist the Department Manager in the administration of departmental works and continuously ensures that all operations conforms to safety requirements and maintains a high quality standards and to deliver projects on time.

May 1995 to 1996:

Responsible for inspection onboard vessel of installation, termination and testing of cables, equipments and instruments of Control and Monitoring for ship's Automation System. Checking and Inspection of instruments upon receipt for damage during transit and compliance with purchase order, instrumentation data sheet and specification. Inspections of instruments workshop bench testing/calibration and functional check of shutdown and control valves prior to installation.

Year 1993 to 1995:

Conduct field inspection of instruments installation/calibration and loop check/testing prior to commissioning.
- To co-ordinate with owner representatives and other project disciplines.
