Mobil Exploration & Producing 1981-2000 (19 Years)

Mobil E&P U.S. Staff Geophysicist 1981-1992
* Worked with geologists and engineers to evaluate hydrocarbon potential of and develop prospects for offshore Louisiana and Texas acreage in 7 federal lease sales, resulting in acquisition of numerous offshore leases.
* Performed detailed hydrocarbon indicator analyses, modeled salt dome shapes, conducted depth migrations, mapped and prepared well packages, directed successful wildcat drilling.
* Evaluated large regional seismic surveys, integrated wells, analyzed seismic stratigraphy and identified plays with significant hydrocarbon potential.
* Pioneered interpretation techniques using Landmark software and established & documented interpretation procedures. Performed velocity analysis and depth conversion of time-based maps.
* Processed and quality controlled contractor seismic processing for 2 years. Processed experimental lines to determine processing flow to be used by contractors. Directed activities of two technicians. Estimated and monitored costs of all processing projects. Worked 6 months in both onshore and offshore seismic acquisition operations.
* Supported usage and data loading of geoscience and 3D visualization applications. Developed velocity survey, data management, and seismic imaging applications.

Mobil E&P Research & Development Software Project Manager 1992-1995
* Led team of 12 geologists and IT professionals to design and develop basin quantification software to enable explorationists to evaluate and compare economic value of global basins and plays. Introduced project management methodology to the 18 month project, including project plans, weekly project meetings, and led the team to successfully implement the software internationally.

* Designed, developed, and implemented dozens of Lotus Notes applications, allowing geoscientists to collaborate more effectively.
* Supported geoscience technical computing and Windows business software for hundreds of Dallas geoscientists.
* Developed detailed project management process flow as leader of a global reorganization task force.

Mobil E&P U.S. Geoscience Data Manager 1995-1997
* Directed geoscience data services team which allowed geoscientists to focus on their core activities. Directed team of 7 data professionals providing technical data services.
* Negotiated seismic data brokering agreements, adding over $1 Million to bottom line.
* Managed project to relocate Mobil's geoscience data from Dallas to New Orleans.

Mobil Global Technical Support Technical Applications Manager 1997-2000
* Managed implementation team which tested, packaged, and distributed all geoscience software globally. Developed project plans for both major and incremental software releases, oversaw product testing, and facilitated the technical implementation of software.
