Responsibilities included Loop checks; functional testing of all the controls logic and modifications to the GE Mark VI HRSG code. Further responsibilities included process tuning and graphic modifications, on the first 500MW gas fired single shaft steam cooled combined cycle unit.

BVI/Mitsubishi Project
Lead DCS Commissioning Engineer
Responsible for the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of the control logics on two 360 MW gas fired single shaft units. Activities included the design, implementation and testing of logic changes to enhance the existing DCS configuration. Further duties incorporated the supervision of two fellow DCS engineers as well as two Foxboro TA's assigned to the project, initial power-up, installation and testing of the Foxboro I/A 6.2, interfacing with the owner/owners engineers. Loop testing of over 12,000 I/O plant wide, finalization of the mark-ups (red lines) to be revised and issued to project.

Worked with the Thai technicians assigned to Fluor-Daniel and the contractors to insure that the instrumentation was installed according to details and that the calibrations were performed properly.

Responsibilities included the input-output termination and the logic verification of the instrumentation to the Bailey INFI 90, further responsibilities included the testing of the DCS I/O for the 415v, 6.6kv, 11.5kv and the 132kv switchgear. Setup of the motor operated valves and the Copes-Vulcan control valves. Technical advisor for field modifications of instrument installations to the instrumentation construction contractor. Startup of the Nooter-Eriksen HRSG 1&2 and the G.E. 120mw steam turbine.

The failsafe system is the Pepperl &Fuchs, I was responsible for the testing and the acceptance of this system on all of the compressors and the light oil systems. Also assisted in the terminations and check out of the Foxboro I/A and Pepperl & Fuchs interconnection cabinets. Direct involvement in the refineries commissioning and start up.
