Worked with Petroleum Development Of Oman (A SHELL COMPANY), PDO Rig – 1 As a Asst Drilling supervisor. Associated with drilling Multilateral/Sidetracks/Slim hole and Ultra-Slim hole wells in south of Oman Oil fields.

* Responsible for implementation of well plans, preparation and execution of day to day operations like Drilling, Casing, Cementation, Logging (Wire line/Tubing Conveyed Logging), Tubing conveyed perforation, and Coring operations. Also Monitored trajectory in Horizontal wells using WELL PLAN software, Acidisation, Completion operations planning & execution, monitoring of well costs daily operations reporting on EPIDORIS software (Exploring & Production Integrated Operations Reporting Information System).

* Planning and monitoring of drilling and completion of wells.
* Ensure compliance with well program and liaison with client representative on all operational aspects.
* Preparing daily EPIDORIS reports (24 hrs SHELL -reporting system).
* Ordering of material and services.
* Coordinating material supply from different stores / departments / companies.
* Coordinating services e.g. directional drilling, fishing, drilling tools, liner hangers, packers, cementing, stimulation, wire line, geology, gyro survey, electro logging, etc.
* Preparing cementing / completion program and its implementation.
* Preparing daily operational program.
* Preparing end well reports.
* Review and comments on future well program.
* Supervising well services killing and any other operation prior to rig arrival.
* Implementation of logging operations and witnessing the same.
* Monitoring well profiles as per requirements (both Geological as well as technical).
* Daily monitoring and preparation of well-cost reports.
* Selection and ordering of bits.
* Familiarity with SHELL operational / safety systems.
* Proficiency in documentation and implementation as per ISO 9002 quality systems.
* During the period as the rig was engaged exclusively in Multilateral horizontal wells (sidetracks & new wells)

I have good knowledge of following equipment and techniques:
* Drilling wells using 'Grant' rotating head in loss/kick situations. Used diverter for shallow gas in surface holes.
* Window cutting with Weatherford whip stock and milling equipments, Red baron Section mills.
* Multilateral wells using Baker oil tools window master, Weatherford whip stock, Red baron Track master single run whip stocks and Secure Oil tools pre-milled window joint & whip stock (this enables re-entry any time during work over). Hinge type whip stocks used in slim holes as well as high dogleg wells..
* Two stage cementation using Halliburton/Davis-lynch MSIPCs and stage collars. Stab-in cementation on surface casings. Two-stage cementation of liner using SR plugs.
* Use of tieback packers (ZX/CPH, JMZX etc), CTC packers, and retrievable pkrs e.g. PIP pkr, DLt pkr, Positrieve pkr etc. and also production packers.
* TCP perforation.
* Use of MPR tools along with MWD/GR tools (Teleco/Navitrack) in Horizontal section for steering while drilling.
* Use of Plug and abandonment kit with CTC pay zone pkrs for abandonment of bottom part of drain hole after logging.
* Scab Liners for isolation of any part of hole using two CTC pkrs and shear sub.
* Acid stimulation.
Completions in multilateral wells using two prod. Pkrs, SSDs, GLMs and other wire line nipples and its Wire line operations.

* Most of the times Wells are drilled under partial to total loss situations. Dynamic well control methods are used for drilling wells under total loss situations. Rotating Head is used to drill wells in unset losses.

* Wells are completed with single selective/non-selective completions (Producer as well as Injector), monobore completions. Gained extensive experience in wire line operations.

* As Drilling supervisor responsible for safe and efficient operations of the land Rig. Especially wells are drilled under meter rate contract with mud, bits, fishing etc are decided by us at the rigsite. Implementation of HSE standards and ISO 9002 standards
* Broke lot of records in fast drilling and pushing the rig to outstanding speeds.

* Worked on shallow and deep drilling rigs, involved in drilling High Pressure Gas wells to a depth of 4000 4500mas well as Shallow gas hazards.
* Critical maintenance of Well Control Equipment, maintenance of mud parameters and adherence to the safety norms of the company were very critical to safe operations in those conditions. Involved in drilling high pressure gas wells in Pasarlapud and narsapur gas field. Experienced and controlled well kicks of very high pressures.
* Rig moves have been so meticulously analysed and time brake downs of concurrent and non critical operations carried out resulting in cutting down the rig move to 50%.
* As drilling operations in India especially land operations are in a very remote areas planning of well design, ordering materials, contingency plans for casings, liner hangers, cementing plans with losses and without losses and planning all service hands becomes so critical that running operations without down time is a challenge.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
Bombay university.
