2002 – 2003 Lancaster University MSC IT and Data Communications
Project: Design of e-commerce solution and website for an engineering tooling supply company. The project was undertaken in cooperation with the client company to develop an e-business solution for B2B, B2C e-commerce and e-procurement.
Modules studied: 3D Image Design, Business Management, Commercial Web Design, Networking and Security, Information Management, IT Applications, Software Engineering.
1996 – 2000 University of Leeds BEng Chemical Engineering
Final year design project: Design of fixed bed catalytic reactor for the air oxidation of Acetaldehyde to Acetic acid, involved the determination of the global reaction rate and the mechanical design of the reactor vessel and internal components.
Modules studied include: Transfer Processes, Unit Operations, Plant Management, Biotechnology, Reaction Engineering, Environmental Management, Process Control, and Design Engineering

Mixing/Blending of bulk chemicals into desired products
Operation of the mixer/rector as required through blending, feed regulation and temperature control until the product is obtained.
Provided technical assistance for process efficiency and safety improvements (HAZOP analysis and installation of control equipment)
By partaking in these duties I gained valuable experience of working in a processing environment as well as utilising my engineering skills and knowledge, and further developing skills in; communication, teamwork, innovation, hazard/safety awareness (handling flammable/corrosive liquids), versatility as need to show competence in a variety of roles
