Responsibilities as Health, Safety and Environmental Coordinator at Snamprogetti (Saudi Aramco)

To participate, develop and conduct HAZOP, HAZAN, HAZID, QRA, HSEIA, HRA, EA, HEMP, JHA or JSA, HIP and Safety Cases for the neat khuff condensate fractionation project at SAUDI ARAMCO and modifications are now being carried out on the installed equipments and pipe lines as a proactive measures to maintain the integrity over all area concerned and to make sure that these Safety tools are regularly updated depending upon the changing in job environment and new activities at different phase of the project.

To provide professional advise on design requirements for Fire/Safety and life saving systems guided by the Snamprogetti's HSE philosophies as well as Local and International Safety Design Codes/Standards.

To prepare and review area classification drawings and electrical equipment specifications for hazardous area for existing facilities as well as for projects and modifications to be carried out at this project.

To review and comments on safety and safety designs and drawings, fire and safety protection systems design, Emergency shut down systems, cause effect diagrams for each activities that carries greater hazards

To carry out, review, survey, audit produce assessment reports, recommend corrective actions design modifications and methodology enhancement as required on installed fire and safety protection/detection systems for it's operability, maintainability and adequacy in meeting safety engineering standards, Safety charts and Safety philosophies at the construction site

Knowledge about the Safety Case study and making analysis report for redesigning
/modeling of the plant equipments etc

To prepare scope of work, request for quotations, call for tender and contract document for specifying the safety studies to be conducted by the third parties and to evaluate technical offers and prepare recommendations.

To evaluate the firewater requirement for different process area, passive fire protection systems, safety design basis, escape routes, fixed fire-fighting system, wheel mounted fire-fighting system, fire hydrants requirements at different area as per the fire hazard rating and closely work with SAUDI ARAMCO Loss Prevention department to test the fire alarm and detection system (FACP-projects installed) as per NFPA, assessing the requirement of fire blankets and SCBA at DCS room and other area of the plant

Contribute to and provide professional input to the HSE expertise technical committees and working parties by client-contractors for specific technical HSE issues.

Experienced to conduct environmental impact and health risk assessment (HRA) prior to all new activities, facility development or before any significant modifications are taking place.

To maintain the risk register that contains those HSE hazards and to review this register together with the HSE manual both Snamprogetti and Saudi Aramco when Safety Case is being developed and updated and Environmental aspects also are included in this register.

To evaluate the different type of weekly and daily work permits (Hot, Clod, Confined space entry, Release of hazardous liquids/gases etc) and to make sure that these permits are effectively used by our Sub contractors.

Very familiar in some special safety software tools called SICON-COINF (applicable only to Snamprogetti)- a system designed to gather and catalogue, in homogeneous way, all the data related to the injuries, accidents, waste production and disposal as well as all the general and energy consumption during Snamprogetti project construction phases. The statistical data processing contributes to identify the main incident causes as well as to make the relevant project environmental impact evaluation.
This procedures foresees the following steps:
a) Gathering and recording of the data required by the SICON program (Carried out at the work site)
b) Data analysis and rate calculation adopted by the projects according to ANSI Standards and knowledge about the international standards such as OSHA, BS, UNI

To make sure that Snamprogetti HSE management system (HSE-MS) is in line with the Aramco HSE-MS system and that HSE deliverables are provided on time and in alignment with project requirement, which includes but are not limited to:
a) Safety Policy Development b) Risk assessment c) COSHH, Manual handling, Fire and PPE assessments together with many other areas of Loss control system d) Safe system of Work Development e) Implementing and follow-up of Integrated Audit System (IAS)

Familiar in Logistic Safety System Modeling (LSSM), whereby system effectiveness analysis would be carried out to understand the complete system with respect to operational impact, Support and cost associated with the operation.

Very familiar to handle and close relays with Saudi Aramco Loss Prevention Department (SALPD) and participating site safety walkthrough, site audits, Emergency drills (both desktop and real case emergency)

To maintain the surroundings and work locations neat and tidy

To maintain the MSDS status for all chemicals and effective monitoring of safety precautions against these chemicals are being taken, which includes procuring and supply of correct PPE for the type of chemicals being used, planning about the Disaster/accidental spillage of chemicals and ensuring the stipulative measures as per the government regulations that are being taken.

Planning for the correct method of ablution waste collection and storage as per the Aramco requirement and monitoring the effective disposal of all waste on daily basis.

Segregating different type of wastes with respect to hazardous and non-hazardous and preparing the separate collection point for each and every work locations.

To check the hygienic condition (quality) of water, food that are being supplied to the site personnel and making the regular inspections of camp and accommodation facilities.

Giving effective measures and design requirement for the construction of waste handling and storage facilities and constructing the underground waste storage facilities depending upon the personnel that are being involved in the project.
Teaching and training the site personnel about the hazardous waste and their heath risk and precautions that are being taken to handle them safely and disposing them safely at their storage facilities.

IV) Duties and responsibilities at Keerthy bangalore Pvt limited- India

Coordinating Occupational Health, Safety and Environment activities for the chemical plants e.g. implementation of safety rules, safety audit, maintenance of plant fire and safety facilities, etc.
(III) Duties and Responsibilities at ALHASSAN/PDO-OMAN

Shouldering all responsibilities which includes but are not limited to

Taking care of all safety concerns when working with live gas Pipelines, Oil pipe lines, crude Oil tanker, Tank farm, Knockout drums (KOD), gasturbines, HydrocarbonGascondenser, cooler, Oilproductionstations, Oil/Gas gathering stations, On-Pad oil cellar pits, Gas surge boots installation. Monitoring Safety procedures and regulations during Beam Pump installation and commissioning.

(II) Duties and responsibilities At ICI

Taking care of all safety precautions during handling, loading and Unloading of Solvents like MEK, ACETONE, IPA, and TOLUENE and at reaction section recycling and recovery section. Safety at Utilities section like steam plant, cooling tower, DM plant, N2 plant, Inst/Plant Air section, NaOH, HCl, H2SO4, Cl2 storage system.
