Engineering Manager responsible for the development of the Green’s Canyon Prospect. Managed the drilling and completion of two 15,000+ foot wells, the design and construction of a fourteen mile surface pipeline and the workover of two existing deep wells in the prospect. Managed the drilling of four wildcat wells in the San Joaquin Basin in California. These wells ranged in depth from 3,500 to 10,800 feet. Responsible for the review and approval of all vendor and partner operated invoices, the preparation and filing of production reports, sundry notices and tax filings and the review and recommendations for all drilling, workover, plugging and disposition activities involving Kestrel Energy, Inc. operated and non-operated properties, including coalbed methane development. Coordinated the evaluation of company reserves on an annual basis.

Senior Engineer responsible for reserve forecasting, company budget and business plan, acquisition evaluations and discovery forecasts for the U.S. and South America. Most recent accomplishments include evaluation of high-value exploration projects in North America. Prior to that, my focus was the successful evaluation of blocks in Argentina and Venezuela where Ampolex and its partners were awarded two of four blocks evaluated. Occasional field supervision of drilling and workover operations. Promoted to Production Manager January 1995.

Chief Engineer responsible for 100 company operated wells and 350 outside operated wells. My responsibilities included supervision of two field superintendents and several contract pumpers, review and approval of all vendor and partner operated invoices, and review and recommendation of all drilling, workover, plugging and disposition activities involving Hallador properties. Evaluated company reserves for SEC and bank filings and for annual reviews with drilling partnership investment brokers.

Evaluated wells, leases, and areas for workovers/redrills, or plugging. Evaluated well logs and designed completion procedures for newly drilled wells. Forecast reserves and deliverabilities for new gas well connections for Gas and Gas Liquids group. Expert witness before both the Texas Railroad and Oklahoma Corporation Commissions. Technical Committee representative for both existing and proposed secondary recovery opera-tions. Prepared enhanced recovery budget for region office. Supervised development engineers on projects such as well cleanout program and workover evaluations.

Assigned to Great Yarmouth, England for four months. Scheduled daily work and supervised operations during subsea valve rotation and platform repair work. Optimized daily field production to correspond with pur-chaser demand.

During my first year with Phillips, I spent six weeks each in production, reservoir, process, gas systems, drilling, and field maintenance and three months operating a 26 well field and five unit compressor booster station during a labor strike.
