I was contracted on a 10 month term to Shell Oil in Kazakhstan as Chief Field Manager to permit one of their Managers to attend an extended on-the-job training program in another Country.
I have passed the Kazakhstan Government's oral exam on Safe Operations.
Supervised field support operations for the drilling of 1 well using local contractors without a lost time accident.
Supervised Field Operations involving oil production by ESP from a Base Camp.
Reported to the General Director in Aktau.
DUBLIN INTERNATIONAL PETROLEUM LTD., Damascus, Syria
Field Manager - Syria (9 month term) 2006
Reporting to the Operations Manager (Damascus), managed operations, production and administration of 8000 BOPD from heavy oil wells in Syria.
Oversaw up to 100 personnel (nationals and ex-pats) involved in new drilling operations, steam stimulation, completions and work overs of heavy oil
Monitored production levels and met with Field Operations team daily to review any issues pertaining to health & safety, quality, production, personnel or compliance
Negotiated support services (maintenance, pipeline and construction) with the Syrian Petroleum Company

Field Manager - Sumatra 1999 - 2005
Reported direct to the GM, Jakarta; managed and oversaw drilling and production operations for Sumatra involving 60,000 BOEPD of gas production daily, 1000 personnel (nationals and ex-pats) and $60M budget annually.
SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Increased daily production from 10,000 to 60,000 BOEPD
Started and developed operations of a new refrigerated LPG re-injection plant producing 2000 tons daily of product with sales of 100 mmcf/d
Recruited personnel and developed training programs for a new CO2 removal, amine sweetening and molecular sieve gas extraction plant with 200mmcf/d input (LPG, condensate and residue gas)
KEY ACTIVITIES
Received direct reports daily, weekly and monthly from 10 Superintendents (Production, Maintenance, Construction, Facilities, Administration, Logistics, Fire & Safety and Marine divisions)
Recruited and trained up to 100 personnel for each new construction and plant operation projects (valued up $350M each)
Administered annual performance reviews for all direct reports and recommended promotions or pay increases
Analysed, administered and updated production/activity reports daily
Met daily with Production, Maintenance and Administration Superintendents to review issues pertaining to safety, overhauls, shutdowns, preventative maintenance, engineering and production
