S K I L L S S U M M A R Y:
I ) Present Placement – Hawiyah NGL Recovery Plant Project, Saudi ARAMCO as
Sr. DCS/Inst Engineer in Engineering Division - Since May '05
The Hawiyah NGL Recovery Plant Project (HNRP) is a grass roots complex scheduled for completion at October 2007 with a Capital expenditure of 2.3 Billion US$. HNRP is designed to process 3.8 Billion standard cubic feet per day (BSCFD) of Sour/Sweet gas and recover 310 MBCD of C2+ NGLs. The Residue (lean) sales gas will be injected into the Master Gas System. The facility will consist of an inlet area, two Gas treating modules for CO2 removal, three Dehydration and NGL recovery trains, four CGT driven sales gas compressors.
The detailed design of the project was awarded to LSTK vendors JGC-Japan for NGL package, Snamprogetti for Gas Treat package and Yokogawa for Control Sys package.

Major Responsibilities handled:
* Review and approval of engineering design activities performed by consultants, FEED engineers and EPC contractors
* Review bidder's lists for contract / purchase for all instrumentation equipment
* Support for Construction and Commissioning of new projects
* Attend FAT/SAT for the acceptance of systems
* Software configuration like generation of control loops, Sequential functions, Logic changes, Graphics, Reports in various control systems like Honeywell, Yokogawa, Triconex, Siemens etc.
* Technical support for DCS, ESD, F&G, SCADA, APC Packages and all kinds of Field Instrumentation
* Investigation on the plant upsets and recommendations to prevent reoccurrences
* Assist Maintenance Engineers to compile trip reports and implement the plant changes to prevent trips re-occurrences
* Assist Maintenance during equipment test runs and their start-ups
* Assist Maintenance to ensure materials and spares stock holdings are adequate
* Attend call-out duties to resolve control systems related problems
* Coordinate with vendor representatives for major changes on control systems

II). IBN ZAHR, SABIC – AL Jubail –Saudi Arabia (1996-April 2005)
IBN ZAHR (Saudi European Petrochemical Company) is a member of prestigious "SABIC" group of companies. The complex consists of Two Polypropylene production units with an annual production of 600,000 MT and Two MTBE production units with an annual production of 1.3 million tons.
Position: Instrument / Process Control Engineer in Engineering Services department.
Advanced Process Control (APC) Project for Poly Propylene Plants: Cost 2.0 Million US $: Detailed technical scope was prepared in house, technical evaluation done, awarded the project to Honeywell and the implementation is in progress.
DCS replacement project to Yokogawa Centum CS 3000/Prosafe PLC: Cost 8.0 Million US $: Evaluated the project requirement, extensive technical discussions were done with the vendor, formulated the project requirements to be an LSTK and awarded the project to Yokogawa.

III ). Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. ( ONGC ), Surat, India. (1987-1996)
Hazira Gas Processing complex (HGPC) is an on-shore plant, which receives 40 MMSCMD of Gas from the India's largest Gas fields located in the Arabian Ocean. Sour Gas and the associated condensate are received from the Offshore platforms through the high pressure Sub Sea pipe lines. The processed Gas is supplied through 1800 KM long pipeline to various consumer companies. The produced LPG, Natural Gasoline (NGL) and Sulphur Pellets are supplied to consumers through Pipe, Rail loading facilities. The complex mainly consists of:
1. LPG Recovery Units. 4. Dew Point Depression Units
2. Gas Sweetening Units 5. Condensate Fractionation Units.
3. Gas Dehydration Units 6. Sulphur Recovery Units.
Major Activities:
LPG Processing plant: Project Cost: 20 Million US $
As a Maintenance Engineer, commissioned plant Instrumentation and control systems.

Gas sweetening plant-1: Project Cost: 80 M US $
LSTK project. Coordinated with the Engineering contractor KTI, USA for the project activities, commissioned the plant Instrumentation and control systems.

Gas sweetening plant-II: Project Cost: 85 M US $
As a project engineer, Coordinated with the EPC Vendor, reviewed the Detail engineering and also commissioned the plant Instrumentation and ABB Bailey Infi90 control systems.

Gas sweetening plant-III: Project Cost: 100 M US $
As a project engineer, coordinated with the Engineering contractor, Daelim, Korea for the vendor evaluation, basic engineering, detail engineering, witnessing the FAT for the DCS, installation of the plant Instrumentation and control systems.

Detail Engineering & System software configuration was done for Yokogawa Centum V DCS totally in house by generating the control loops, Sequential functions, Graphics & Logs for the Phase II Expansion project.
To plan and execute Day to day, preventive, Break down maintenance, Annual Turn around activities for the DCS, PLC systems and various field Instruments.
Maintenance of the Control systems of Centrifugal, Reciprocating types of Compressors of various makes like NUOVO PIGNONE, ROTOFLO etc.
Maintenance of Paging system (Gaytronics), Gas Detection Systems (Rexnord, Detronics, General Monitors), fire Alarm systems, Online Analysers of Maihak, Houston Atlas, Panametrics, EG & G for monitoring H2S, Moisture and Dew point.
Field Instrumentation familiarity: Strong experience in wide range of Field Instrumentation devices like Field Transmitters, Safety critical instruments, Control Valves and Shut down Valves.
Off shore experience: Frequent visits made to several Off-shore process platforms in India for various Instrumentation and control systems activities.
