A) SAUDI ARAMCO (May 2003 till date):
Joined Saudi Aramco as a Senior Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer. Presently posted at Riyadh Refinery as Engineer II (grade 13) in Reliability Division. The refinery consists of Hydro cracker, Crude, Platformer, Kerosene, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Demax, Asphalt, Utility, Crude stabilisation units, SRU, DHT.
Key rresponsibility of reliability improvement of critical equipment like turbines, compressors (total 32) manufactured by M/S Elliott, DR/IR, Terry, Mitsubishi, Nuovo Pignone & Hitachi.
Major overhauling and modifications done to solve chronic problems: Platformer Recycle Gas Compressor, Hydrocracker Recycle Compressor and Turbine, Hydrocracker Make up Compressors, Instrument Air Compressors.
Reliability improvements in turbo compressors achieving highest level of reliability, and honored for outstanding performance
Responsibilities includes the following,
Troubleshooting of equipment
Failure analysis of equipment, which is repetitive, catastrophic in nature or under critical category.
Condition monitoring of equipments- vibration analysis with Bently Nevada System, lube oil analysis.
Performance monitoring of critical equipments. Comparison of design vs. actual values. Report for any deviation in parameters observed.
Make reliability improvement plan
Advice management on inspection and overhauling plan of super critical equipment and related information like scheduling, spare parts, overhauling and start up procedures. Witness critical quality checks, commissioning.
Generate monthly reports on critical equipment status.
Make preventive maintenance, condition monitoring (vibrations, lube oil) plan, review its effectiveness.
Auditing of quality checks during overhauling. Report / advise for any deviation
Auditing of preservation of critical spare part like rotor.
Review/advise on critical spare parts for critical equipment.
Advice and review of repairs of critical spare parts like rotors.
Review of design and specifications of new compressors during selection stage.
B) RELIANCE INDUSTRIES LTD, Hazira (2002 ~ May 2003):
In charge of rotating equipments at Reliance Industries (Petrochemicals) complex at Hazira, this is biggest in Asia. The complex consists of more than 50 compressors that cover various plants like,
Biggest Naphtha cracker (780 KTA) consisting of 42 MW cracked gas compressor + 29 MW polypropylene compressor + 6 MW Ethylene compressor and 3 MW Fuel gas compressor (all steam turbine driven machines) supplied by M/S Elliott
2 plants of PTA with capacity 914 KTA
3 plants of ASU + MEG with capacity 390 KTA
2 PP plants with 384 KTA capacity
2 PE plants with capacity 400 KTA

C) RELIANCE INDUSTRIES (PETROLEUM) LTD, Jamnagar (1998 ~ 2002):
Rotating Equipment Engineer in Middle Management Cadre of Reliance Petroleum Ltd, Jamnagar, world's single largest grass root refinery and 3rd largest operating refinery in the world of capacity 660,000 bpsd.
The company has been awarded as 'International Refiner of the Year' 2005 at the World Refining and Fuels Conference's, in San Francisco, California, USA, by Hart Energy Publishing LP.

Responsibilities at Reliance – Jamnagar and Hazira:
Planning and execution / quality control during overhauling / modification of critical machines
Condition Monitoring and vibration analysis of machines using DM2000, MCM2000 of Bently Nevada- biggest set up in the world at single location with 228 machines
Condition monitoring with CSI-RBM Ware (USA), portable vibration analysers for more than 2000 machines
Failure Analysis and recommending corrective measures for improvement of equipment reliability, availability and run length for critical equipment
Auditing of erection / commissioning of new rotary equipment
Trouble shooting and resolving abnormal vibration cases
Oversee the start up after major overhaul
Alarms –Trips review and trip analysis / advice
Review & recommend preventive, predictive maintenance & condition monitoring schedule. Review of Condition Monitoring and Preventive maintenance effectiveness.
Monitoring and trending of lube oil condition for turbo-compressors
Advice on repair of insurance spares of turbo-compressors, dynamic balancing
Advice on insurance spares and preservation / checks
Vendor co-ordination for critical issues
Training on turbo-compressors for technicians and engineers
Preparation / Review of standard maintenance procedures / Training modules for rotating machines
Experience at Reliance - Hazira & Jamnagar:
Commissioning & start up / stabilization of all above plants.
Re-commissioning of the rotating machines after massive earthquake during Jan2001.
Experience on the following machines and knowledge of relevant API standards.
Trouble shooting of all super critical machines by using DM 2000, MCM2000 online continuous monitoring system supplied by M/S Bently Nevada which is world's largest set up at single location (228 machines).

Major overhauling & trouble shooting of various centrifugal compressors for Hydrogen service supplied by M/S GHH- Borsig, Demag, etc.
Installation, trouble shooting of Dry gas seal system for the above compressors supplied by M/S John Crane. Total installed dry gas seals "40"
Major overhauling and trouble shooting of 6HF2 type 3 x 7300 K.W reciprocating compressors for Platformer Net gas service supplied by M/S Nuovo Pignone with latest monitoring system.
Major overhauling and trouble shooting of 2.5 MW Howden screw compressor for refrigeration service.
Major overhauling of Integrally geared compressor (3 MW power) with dry gas sealing system for refinery fuel gas.
Major overhauling of 6 x 1.5 MW SULZER make Labyrinth piston compressors for polypropylene service
Extruders for polypropylene service
More than 2000 pumps having various types of mechanical seals and API flushing plans. Pumps supplied by Byron-Jackson, Ebara, Sulzer, Gurdlestone, Ingersoll rand dresser, Sundstrand etc.
4 x 30 MW steam turbine generators, make M/S GHH and 8 X 30 MW GE make frame VI GTs.
ID and FD fans of M/S Clarage, M/S COFIMCO Fin cooler fans, cooling tower fans, and lobe type blowers etc.
Overhauling gearboxes of make Flender-Graffenstaden, Lufkin, and Mag etc.
PTA Plants: Major overhauling of motor driven, 20.5 MW Process air compressors for PTA plants of M/S Demag make. Trains consist of integral type six stage compressor and two-stage power recovery expander.
CRACKER: Inspections/Overhaul of crack gas, propylene, and ethylene compressors and drive turbines up to 42 M.W. Rating.
MEG Plants:
Modification of water seal with dry gas seal & major overhauling of M/S A C Make, recycle gas compressor of 3 MW.
Major overhauling of M/S Hitachi make integral geared air compressors (4.5 MW).
Major overhauling of M/S Sulzer and JSW make labyrinth piston compressors for Oxygen service
VCM Plant: Overhauling of Elliott make integral geared compressor for Oxy-reactor service.
CPP: Inspection / overhauling of GE make frame VI Gas Turbines.
Polypropylene and Polyethylene:
Overhauling of very high-pressure multistage feed pumps (3 MW) of M/S Sulzer for ethylene reactor.

D) RASHTRIYA CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS LTD, Thal (1986 ~ 1998)
Joined R.C.F in 1986, immediately after completion of degree in mechanical engineering. Rich experience in high speed rotating equipments from 2 x 1600 MTPD Ammonia Plants. Was in charge of the rotating equipment & related auxiliaries for last six years. Experience includes maintenance / overhauling & modifications, start up, troubleshooting, condition monitoring of turbo compressors. Responsibility includes:
