Hired by Swift Energy to evaluate their New Zealand properties and make recommendations as to how production and reserves might be optimized.

*Prepared depletion plan for the TAWN production area. Recommended rapid acceleration in compression plans and a reconfiguration of the existing gathering system to allow the introduction of gas lift to all oil well completions.

*Prepared depletion plan for RIMU production area. Proposed fracture stimulation on one well and a successful plunger lift application on another. Assisted in reserves reassessment and suspension of several unnecessary facility projects.

*Assisted in strategic planning for all producing properties.

*Monitored well performance and recommended procedures to optimize production and increase recovery.

BP (ARCO), Jakarta, Indonesia July 1998 – April 2002
Reservoir Engineering Specialist
Seconded to VICO Indonesia as a production/reservoir engineer working for the Nilam Asset Team. At the time the Nilam field was producing over 650 mmcfd from 192 wells and over 900 reservoirs.

*Responsible for preparing all workover/recompletion programs and AFE's.

*Identified zones that were missed during routine G&G correlation/mapping processes. As a result 2 wells that were proposed for abandonment were successfully recompleted (these wells have made over 2 bcf gas, current production is over 6 mmcfd).

*Identified and prepared programs for numerous through tubing recompletion opportunities.

*Assisted in efforts to develop a better petrophysics model.

*Coordinated effort to reconcile well/reservoir performance to geologic interpretations. Ensured consistency between Landmark Openworks data (geology) and Schlumberger FINDER data (production).

*Worked closely with Geoquest and VICO asset team members to resolve data base integrity issues (clean up), established data relationships and guided the data migration effort.

*Recommended the first 7" monobore completion in Nilam. Staged reservoir blowdowns from this well have increased recovery and helped improve field deliverability.

*Introduced Landmark Stratworks as an engineering tool to optimize wellbore utilization.

*Anticipated overload on MP pipeline system. Recommended the installation of another pipeline and additional manifolding. This project was put on a fast track and completed in record time.

UNION TEXAS PETROLEUM, Jakarta, Indonesia Sept. 1993 – July 1998
Sr. Reservoir Engineer
Seconded to VICO Indonesia as a reservoir engineer for the Badak Field. At the time this field was making over 850 mmcfd from 181 wells and over 370 reservoirs.

*Identified weaknesses in VICO's existing database and helped set the course for an upgrade to Geoquest's FINDER data base model.

*Upon arrival VICO had 2 workover rigs in the field. Quickly got up to speed preparing programs. In the process changed the company's approach to workover candidate selection focusing on underutilized, high potential wells instead of idle, low potential wells.

*Discovered significant flaws in VICO's production allocation methodology. Oversaw necessary program modifications.

*Created an excel spreadsheet to quickly model performance and calculate the minimum rate for continuous liquids removal. This information was used to designate the appropriate pressure system and production priority for every completion.

*Introduced a campaign for extensive use of cased hole RFT's. This data has greatly enhanced VICO's ability to manage 1300+ reservoirs.

*Identified rigless opportunities and worked with national engineers on program preparation and implementation.

Manager Facilities Engineering
Responsible for establishing a strategy for the development of new fields within the Badin Concession area. Evaluated development options, prepared AFE's and interfaced with partners and the government to get projects approved.

*Developed a model (in Excel) to calculate Badin Concession gas deliverability as a function of time and delivery pressure. Model included 12 fields and accounted for gathering system, reservoir, completion and facility performance.

*Conducted a study, which resulted in the upgrading of a facility (from 30 mmcfd to 60 mmcfd).

*Introduced the concept of a satellite field development, in lieu of individual field facilities. Put 5 fields on production (at a savings of +/- $20 mm).

*Brought to management's attention the fact that productivity was constrained by domestic market demand. Assisted in developing a strategy for Pakistan's first oil exports.

UNION TEXAS (SOUTHEAST ASIA), Houston, Texas May 1986 –Jan. 1988

Coordinated the activities of a task force which was created to determine the commerciality of a discovery off the coast of Sulawesi, Indonesia.

*Oversaw drilling and testing of a delineation well.

*Guided reservoir modeling efforts.

*Established development assumptions and ran project economics.

*Prepared documentation requesting a moratorium on commerciality.

Engineering supervisor for a newly formed Offshore Division. During this period UTP had long-term contracts on a semi-submersible (SEDCO 601), a jackup (KEYES 303) and a land rig.

*Prepared and oversaw preparation of AFE's, drilling programs, workover and completion programs, drilling optimization and engineering studies, cost reduction studies etc.

*Ensured all company and government regulations were being followed. Filed necessary permits with MMS and other regulatory agencies.
