To provide, with full responsibility and accountability, a technical service to the Corporation for Engineering Major Projects in all areas of Loss Prevention covering specialist engineering systems studies, drawings, safety plans and procedures, setting safety objectives, project HSE design reviews and application of problem solving/quality tools for projects, modifications and existing facilities and operations ensuring compliance with Corporation's HSE philosophies and International safety design codes and standards. Perform design reviews and comments on the performance based analyses of on fire / safety and life saving systems such smoke control, egress, fire protection, detection, suppression and containment systems for compliance with design objectives. Demonstrates practical knowledge to identify, evaluate and control of major hazards and potential losses, occupancy analysis, water supply analysis, active / passive fire safety systems, special protection systems, life safety and fire risk assessment, safety studies/reviews, security systems, emergency response programs, emergency lighting and communication systems, life safety egress and evacuation calculations etc using proprietary computer software. Prepare the Basis for Design (BFD), selects essential standards for use, identifies design throughput, policy, technical risks, facility safeguarding, preparation of design safety case, develop scope of work, specifications and design criteria for facilities and infrastructure projects.
