1. Presently Working with OPTIMAL CHEMICALS Sdn.Bhd (MALAYSIA) in LP OXO BUTANOL plant since November 2000 as operation specialist.
This is a World class Manufacturer and supplier of petrochemicals for the ASIA – PACIFIC region, a joint venture between MALAYSIA's PETRONAS and USA's DOW chemicals. Butanol plant is
Producing 142,000 MTA of N- Butanol using raw material as syn gas and propylene.I- Butanol is the
Byproduct.
2. Worked for 5 yrs and 7 months from April, 1995 to Nov, 2000 in Andhra petrochemicals ltd
Visakhapatnam INDIA as operations technician in OXO alcohol plant in the field and HONEY well
Dcs panel.

WORKING AREAS & EUIPMENTS:

Memberane system: This is to separate H2 from syn gas by memberane modules.
TSA beds: These are the temp swing adsorption beds to remove H2O & CO2.
Cold Box: This is unit is to separate excess CH4 from the syn gas stream to keep the
H2/CO ratio for the LPO reaction.This contains expander and reciprocating
Compressors.
Propylene guard bed: To remove sulfur and chlorides in C3H6 feed with the help of activated
Alumina, ZnO and copper on carbon catalyst, those are detrimental to Rh
Catalyst.
LP Oxo reactors: This unit is to produce aldehydes by means of hydroformalation reaction between syn gas and propylene in presence of Rh catalyst.
Vapourizer section: This is to separate liquid catalyst from aldehydes vapors.
Stripper system: The organic wastes from the unit are separated from the inorganic wastes and they are sent to different sections.
Besides this the equipments are centrifugal pumps, reciprocating pumps refrigeration packages and
Closed loop cooling water system. And having knowledge on distillation columns, centrifugal
Compressors, Vapor phase and liquid phase hydrogenation reactors and unit storage.

WORKED AREAS IN PREVIOUS PLANT:

Hydrogen desulphurization unit: To remove sulfur from naphtha feed.
Fired heaters: These are natural draught fired heaters to give the supplemental heat to the naphtha feed and to super heat the naphtha + steam to send to CRG.
CH4 rich gas converter: To convert naphtha feed in to CH4 rich gas, CO2 and CO by means of Ni catalyst.
Naphtha reformer unit: This is a tubular reformer unit which converts feed naphtha into
CO and H2 along with CH4 and CO2. Heat recovery unit and Boiler feed water deaerating system.

CO2 absorption and removal unit: This is a Benfield potassium carbonate process to remove CO2
from the syn gas mixture.
IR compressors unit: There are a total of 5 different capacities reciprocating
Compressors make of INGERSOL RAND.
PSA unit: This is a pressure swing adsorption unit consists of 4 beds to separate and produce 100 % pure H2 from syn gas stream.

Well versed with HONEY WELL TDC 3000 and FOXO BORO I/A series, LIMS, SAP, basic
Computer applications like lotus, MS word etc.

Having experience in leading the local operators in pre commissioning, commissioning, start up, shutdown and trouble shooting. Trained them by means of class room teaching. Participated as a team member in operating procedure review team.

Having Knowledge in permit preparation as per DOW GLOBAL standard procedures and UCC
Procedures. Under gone training in fire fighting and breathing apparatus. Participated in HPCL 1997
fire fighting.
