- Day to day supervision of construction activity for two cryogenic LNG storage tanks, total investment of US$400 Million. Sustainable Development responsibility for entire project.
- Implementation of Incident and Near Miss tracking system together with compilation of HSE statistics. Only Shell HSE representative on site for first 8 months on project, without lost time injuries or medical treatment cases. Maximum number of staff on site of 300.

- Business Analyst with HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) and Sustainable Development Governance Responsibility (including External Affairs and Issues Management) in the only private sector invested, Integrated Power Project in Brasil incl. a 641 km gas pipeline from Bolivia to Brasil together with a 480MW combined cycle power plant in Cuiaba, Mato Grosso, Brasil. Shell Group investment was US$211 Mln, Joint Venture partner is Enron.
- Co-ordination and Management of the Shell HSE-MS (HSE Management System) Audit for GOB (Gas Oriente Boliviano — Bolivian section of Cuiaba pipeline), GOM (Gas Ocidente Mato Grosso — Brasilian Section of Cuiaba Pipeline) and EPE (Empresa Produtora de Energia — Power Plant in Cuiaba), then followed through to ensure compliance with the Action Plan. Acting Governor of Assets in time of Governor absence.

- Developed Sustainable Development (SD) plan for Trinidad Gas to Liquids prospect. Undertook the modelling responsibilities for the Trinidad GtL (Gas to Liquids) prospect.
- Issues Manager for South America and Africa identifying the Issues that could lead to areas of concern for the Shell Group — of particular attention were the Nigerian Community Disturbances and Bolivia Chiquitano Forest NGO issues.
- Responsible for Competitive Intelligence within the Latin American and Caribbean Team, which followed on from M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) activity in previous position.
- Undertook an LNG market study in Jamaica with presentation up to a Ministerial level, introducing an alternative fuel (and source) to the island.

- Transredes (Enron/Shell JV - Bolivian hydrocarbon transporter) Desaguadero Oil Spill Crisis Team member — using Spanish, developed HSE, Sustainable Development and Crisis skills. (The Desaguadero is a major river running from Lake Titicaca in the North to Lake Popoo in the South of Bolivia). Crisis team member in May/June 2000 for two subsequent Transredes Oil spills in Bolivia — worked with external affairs as well as further developed skills from the previous crisis.
- Undertook Business Analyst (modelling, reporting) responsibilities for the assets Transredes, TBG (Brasilian section of the Bolivia to Brasil pipeline — BBPL - Yacuiba then Santa Cruz in Bolivia to Sao Paulo and Porto Alegre in Brasil), GTB (the Bolivian section of the BBPL) and Cuiaba, which were being governed from London.
- Key participant in significant M&A effort in addition to Analyst Role above.

- Responsible for pre-shift RTG (Ready to Go) meetings with Drillcrews. Prepared and Disseminated Milestones for drill crews and Drilling Supervisors on a day-to-day basis.
- Completed an update of Wear2000 casing wear software and documentation. Undertook analyses of Goodwyn Big Bore wells for Casing wear. Carried out casing wear experiments in Shell labs to validate model.
- Underwent Basic Well Engineering training, which included 14 weeks as roughneck onshore Netherlands. Drilling Engineer in Grootegast, The Netherlands
