January 2005 to Present JOB Pertamina HESS (Jambi Merang) LTD.
Project Manager
Project Manager for the Jambi Merang development, value U$250 million, which is the simultaneous development of two gas / condensate fields that will produce 150 mmscfd of raw gas and approximately 15,600 bbls / day of LPG's and condensate.
Manage the overall project EPC phase and the operation of the project group itself. Handle all interfaces with EPC contractors and direct the company project personnel working for the owners' side of the project.
As signing officer of the JOB, approve invoices and sign financial transactions for the day to day running of the company.
Responsible for the development of the POD, (Plan of Development), submitted to the government authorities for approval of the project. Developed the concept and process selection for the field development as well as cost estimates, staffing plan and facilities selection for inclusion in the POD.
Put in place the AFE's to allow the technical engineering work for the EPC bid proposal to proceed and the survey of the plant site and pipe line right of ways to be completed.
Prepared the EPC bid strategy and documents to tender the project.
Provided and executed staffing plans for creation of the project group that is now executing the EPC phase of the project on behalf of the company. Provided organization charts for a future operating organization to operate the plant and field facilities.
Oct 2002 to December 2004 AMERADA HESS INDONESIA LTD.
Senior Project Engineer
Senior Project Engineer for the Ujung Pangkah gas processing facility and sales gas pipeline. This project is for a complete gas processing plant that produces sales gas and condensate product from sour feed gas with a design capacity of 150 mmscfd and 2500 bbls per day of liquids.
Responsible for the preparation of the bid technical and contractual documents, bid process and execution of the engineering design, procurement, and construction of the plant facility and 10 km 20" sales gas pipeline. Preparation of the preliminary operating philosophy, staffing plan and operating cost estimates for use in the corporate economic modelling evaluation. In charge of the project engineering team to oversee the EPC contractor's execution of the work.
Jan 2000 to Oct 2002 GULF INDONESIA RESOURCES LTD.
Senior Project Engineer
Senior Project Engineer for the installation of field compression. The project was for the installation of 4000 hp of compression complete with cooling, separation and control. Developed the design concepts, prepared the bid technical documents and analyzed the technical aspects of the EPC contract, interfaced directly with the EPC contractor engineers, to oversee all aspects of the project. On this project the company directly purchased the compressors and associated equipment for issue to the EPC contractor saving significant project schedule.
Recommended changes to another field compression project design resulting in more than 5 million dollar reduction in capital cost.
Jan 98 to Jan 2000 GULF INDONESIA RESOURCES LTD.
Chief Engineer / Team Leader
Employed by Gulf to supervise the plant engineering group at the Gulf Grissik Gas Plant, (a 300 mmscfd high CO2 processing plant utilizing membrane separation technology combined with an MDEA treating system, refrigeration and dehydration), in south Sumatra. The engineering group, consisting of one expatriate and four national engineers, provided support for the central gas plant and four field facilities feeding gas to the plant.

Senior Supervisor P&M Section
Waha Oil Company is the largest national oil company in Libya, formerly Conoco, Marathon, and Amerada, producing approximately 500,000 barrels of oil per day.
Senior Supervisor of the Process and Mechanical section of the Waha Oil Company Engineering Department, with 25 engineers, expatriate and nationals, reporting to me. This section of the engineering department handled all company project work, and supported the operation of the surface facilities from well head to the ship loading terminal; with an annual budget of approximately 100 million.
The P&M engineers worked on production and operations problems related to oil production, gas processing, water flood and gas pressure maintenance schemes to enhance oil recovery. Typical work projects were, installation of separation and dehydration units, tie in of new wells, design of changes to process schemes to suit current operations requirements, development of new procedures and implementation of work orders and safety procedures to modify facilities as needed for maintenance or operations.
1982 to Oct 93 WOLCOTT GAS PROCESSING LTD.
Manager of Engineering
Wolcott Gas Processing was a private Canadian company that operated processing facilities on behalf of production companies. The company was the operator for several gas processing plants including sour gas plants, LPG plants, and cryogenic plants (very cold temperature operations).
Managed several projects which expanded and enhanced the plants productivity including:
The expansion of a cryogenic plant capacity from 350 to 600 mmscfd including the installation of a new turbo expander.
Replacement of a plant panel mounted control system to a video display microprocessor based control system.
Revamped and re-commissioned an ammonia plant.
Worked with UOP in Chicago and with H&G Engineering in London providing operating input for a methanol / MTBE plant
1980 to 1982 DOME PETROLEUM LTD.
Plant Engineer
Stationed at a large Cryogenic Processing plant (1.5 BCF/DAY)
Worked on the project to install two 25,000 hp electric motors
Worked on the design planning for a 2 BCF/day expansion
