Summary:

Petroleum Engineer based in Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company since June 1, 1996 to present. 11 years offshore/on shore experience with natural and artificial lift systems for both vertical and horizontal wells. Experienced in well logging, completion design, gas lift & ESP, nodal analysis, develop and maintain integrated GAP models, formation evaluation and treatment, well testing, well integrity, surveillance techniques, trouble shooting, water production management, multiphase flow & water injection project and Provide on site supervision for all field work such as E-Line, W/L, CTU and stimulation work. High experience level using software programs (Prosper, GAP, MBAL, Pie, E.C., Special purpose programs).

Work History:

Employed with the Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company (GUPCO) since 1996 to present. The following summarizes my work experience:

Present Position: Petroleum Engineer "Section Head", (2004- Present).

Update the daily activity work, review daily drilling report and discuss the well problem with the drilling team to maintain the well integrity and achieve the reservoir target, design and follow up well testing, design well completion and artificial lift systems. Supervise and direct monitor engineering staff and review their work. Review technical design of the invoice jobs such as PBU, PLT, RST, TDT, WSO, Perforation & Stimulation and follow up the implementation of these jobs safely. Support all rigless operations. Generating and carrying out an annual well surveillance plan, and analyzing the resulting data. Follow up special project and prepare a technical report. Recommend remedial actions for the problematic wells. Discuss and cooperate with the reservoir team to plan the work to maximize wells productivity. Evaluate with reservoir team the different projects to improve the field performance such as water flood and ESP projects. Share ideas to improve the production performance and train young engineers and help them to do their work.

June 1996 to July 2004:

One of the engineering team that operating Gulf Of Suez fields. The following summaries my activity during that period:

Completion of New Wells:

* Analyze the open hole logs to identify the oil-bearing zone, select the proper points to get pressure-using RFT or MDT. Choose the perforation intervals based on pressure data and correlation with offset wells.

* Evaluate the cement bond using CBL/VDL logs and recommend right action.

* Design the optimum well completion string considering the production method (Natural or artificial lift either Gas lift or ESP).

* Utilizing TCP gun perforation job and running of the completion. Also perform unloading and trouble shooting process until get formation fluid on surface.

* Collaborate with drilling and operation teams to introduce new technology to improve the well design in order to maximize the field recovery and improve the economics.

Production system:

* Design the optimum completion string, design the artificial lift system (Gas lift/ESP) either manually or using the computer programs. Trouble shooting and monitoring the system. Evaluate the proper action to solve the well problems and recommend the proper action for each well like gas lift valves re-design, gas lift survey, gas lift valve changes, gas lift mandrels cleaning, restricted the ESP rate or and change the pump settings, etc.

* Evaluate the inflow /out flow of the wells and optimize the wells production either manual or using the automation system. Model wells using Prosper and Gap computer programs to operate wells properly and distribute the production via the existing P/L or available gas.

* Work and evaluate the different testing methods to get the proper data for the well using test separator or phase tester.

* Evaluate the pipeline efficiency and distribute the wells on the existing P/L to avoid the backpressure and produce the wells efficiently. Also work with Infrastructure team to remove any pipeline bottlenecking. Redistribute the producing wells again in case of the emergency P/L leak to minimize the oil deferral.

Production facility protection

* Investigate production headers for scale buildup using heat gun and recommends corrective action.

* Follow up production lines pigging to avoid bottlenecking and corrosion problems

* Follow up protecting the production equipment and pipe lines against corrosion problem using suitable techniques such as Catholic protection and chemical treatment.

* Recommends installing new lines to solve bottlenecking problems or to avoid riser pressure limitation to increase production rate and avoid lines failure.

Well Logging:

* Design and provide on site supervision for PLT, TDT, RST, PLSS & WFL logs.

* Analyze the PLT, TDT, RST, PLSS & WFL and use it to identify the water movement profile in the wells and use the PLT and TDT as a tool to mange the reservoir correctly by identify the water movement in the reservoir and the sweep efficiency of the water flood projects.

* Recommend the proper action such as WSO (using TTBP, patch flex and/or Gel conformance) and Re-perforation.

Chemical Treatment:

* Continuously monitor all producing wells (Vertical and horizontal) for remedial stimulation work (Near well bore stimulation, stage stimulation, acid perf wash, tubing cleaning).

* Design and provide on-site supervision for pumping (either bullheading or using
CTU) and unloading operation.

* Post appraisal evaluation for the performed jobs.

* Follow-up scale inhibition program to mitigate Scale build up.

Well Testing

* Identify the test objective, proceed with test design (DST, PBU, PFOT), develop procedures for safely and economically implementing the test, selecting the equipment required to obtain the proper data, collecting and analyzing the data.

* Discuss the results with the reservoir engineers and take the proper actions such as stimulation, perforation or/and re-perforation and/or supporting the reservoir pressure.

Rig and Rigless Workovers:

* Follow up the daily rig activity to confirm performing the drilling and workover objective.

* Evaluate wells which have operation problems such as scale obstruction, sand fill, Casing/Tubing communication, flooded out, low formation feed and dead wells for either rig or Rigless workover such as change completion, CTU clean out, sidetrack, re-completion, added or perforation, water shutoff either mechanical or using Polymer Gel and provide drilling team with the completion data program including technical work procedure.

* Provide on site (offshore/Onshore) supervision and applying all safety and quality considerations during the job.

* Prepare the post appraisal work for each job additional to initial and final report for rig work.

Water production/injection management:

* Follow up monitoring water injection wells (Injection rate and WHIP) and compared with the recommended injection rate by reservoir engineer and take proper action (Gauging, stimulation, adjust rate) if needed.

* Monitor the down hole injection distribution using MPLSS and evaluate its effect in the offset producers, recommends right action such as adjust the injection rate or isolate the thief zone to avoid water break through.

* Monitor the down hole production distribution of the producers using PLT to image the water movement in the reservoir PLT and take the right action for isolating the high water saturation zone.

* Select the right way for isolating the flooded out zone (TTBP, EZSV, Casing patch, Gel Polymer).

Well Integrity

* Review daily rig activities and prepare summary of related activities for my Supervisor (Pet. Eng. Division Manger). Focus on running the production liner.

* Evaluate cementing jobs using USIT, CBL & VDL. Cooperate with my manger and drilling supervisor to recommends the right action.

* Follow up will completion design, run in hole and set packer.

* Follow up implement the annuli and temperature surveys frequency for efficient monitoring of well integrity.

* Follow up and update tree check and function test and issue corrective action for safe rigging up operations.

* Update the performed survey for each well and follow up performing the overdue survey. Focus on wells planned for invoice work (next 14 days plan).

* Review, the conducted surveys to establish the well integrity status.

* Focus and learn my Supervisor about any unsafe well for urgent action.

* Shortlist the problematic wells, discuss the status of each well with the team, recommends and issue the corrective action.

* Prepare periodic reports on wells status based on the performed survey and W/L reports.

* Prepare investigative report for implementation on problematic wells.

* Supervise corrective action implementation.

* Knowledge with PDHMS and Fiber optics.

Field studies

Perform the required field studies such as " Field Production Optimization", " Water Shut-off Technical Methods " and " Methanol Consumption Re-calculation" etc.

General

* Design and provide on-site supervision for all the above duties
* Monitor the new engineers and help them to do their jobs.
* Discuss the risk assessment with the safety team before any job.
* Applying all safety and quality considerations during each job.
* Perform ASA (advanced safety audit) to improve the performance of the people and stop the un-safe act.

Computer skills

* High experience level using windows based software such as MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Power point, MS-Outlook and other special purposes programs such as Gas lift design programs, Pie, Prosper, GAP, Mitrowin, E.C., Business object & Choke Model.
