Working for the client on the BP Clair Project with Document Control Function, responsible for 3 Document Controllers and two Technical Clerks.
My duties include the following, performing all documentation functions on project, including implementing and expediting office check procedures for supplier approval drawings, technical data, and certified supplier documents. Managing the receipt, logging, distribution, forwarding, tracking and filing of all paper and electronic documents. Implementing and maintaining project Electronic Data Management System called projectwise and second system called PDMC. Train and supervise lower level Document Specialists and new project team members in the use of our Electrical Data Management Systems. Managing documentation processes -Review/Approval cycles, Transmittals & Distribution. Collation of late reports, weekly/monthly etc. Communicating with Project Management and Team, Client and Sub-Contractors effectively and resolve problems and issues relating to documentation. Completion and distribution of Job Cards with supporting documents before going onto shop floor. Co-ordination of all RFI's / RVO's for over 150 vendors. Ensuring all RFI's (Request for Information) are approved and change orders are processed to responsible engineer / department.
