Procurement Manager assigned to Petrobras project (EPC) in Ecuador-Block 31. (July 2.006-Present)
Responsible for getting from different vendors, budgetary bids for materials/equipment and logistics activities, in order to set up capex budget and to work specially the Long Lead Items (more than 6 months).
Along with invitation to Bid, data sheets, tech.specifications, PI&Ds and isometrics, shall be delivery to suppliers to assure they will meet with Quality requirements.
Request of performance Bonds for LLI, to assure timely delivery.
In the next step of the project, to place PO for Long Lead Items and receiving of quotations in firm for balance of materials/equipment, follow up and expediting to International vendors to meet with schedule of project. Coordination of Logistics activities for mobilization of equipment during construction phase.

Contracts to be Managed: Contracts of Charters for cargo and passenger; Land transportation, Coil Tubing and catering services.

Logistics: Responsible for Follow up and expediting to International vendors and Forwarders, mainly equipment requested for projects, to be on time, as per project's schedule.
To coordinate transportation of heavy equipment with contractors for Construction and drilling operations.

*Responsible for Imports of materials & equipments for projects (Drilling and Construction), as well as materials and spares required timely in operations. Coordination with contractors for early shipment of rental equipment required for drilling projects, as per schedule.

Contracting. Main responsibilities:
* Vendor's selection.

*Obtained $500K savings in customs duties reduction, due to special exemption application's.

Procurement & Logistics Manager (July-1996-January-2000 Cusiana Oil field)

Oversee Procurement/Contracting activities:
Vendor's selection, Bidding process, Economics evaluation, awarding of Contracts/P.Orders for supply of chemicals for oil treatment, Tubular(OCTG), Well head equipment, gas compressors, Pumps, Valves, Supply of fuel to operations around CPF(Drilling and Workover Operations), raw materials.

*Assumed overall responsibility for preparing and approved contracts with all domestic and international vendors.(Preparing tender documentation, evaluation of tenders, post bid negotiations with tenders and contracts award).Search of new suppliers.

*Saved $100 K/year, placing blanket purchase order for MRO materials.
*Improved lead time for gas compressor in 4 months. Savings represented in anticipated oil production.
