As Lead Engineer for the Malongo Asset Integrity Team (MAIT), provide hands-on Facilities Engineering support for ongoing activities in Chevron's Block 0 offshore concession. Responsibilities include coordination and oversight of projects related to: internal corrosion of pipelines, painting activity, well jacket safety assessments/ structure upgrades, risers/pipeline repairs, intelligent and maintenance pigging, subsea inspections, and surveys/mapping. Work directly with all disciplines, departments, and authority levels to ensure that projects are executed in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Based in Cairns, participated in the early field development of company's concession in the remote highlands of Papua New Guinea. Still in the exploration phase of development, provided hands-on support for well testing activities, including test design, identification and coordination of personnel and materials, and field execution.
4/91 to 8/03 SAUDI ARABIAN OIL COMPANY (DHAHRAN, SAUDI ARABIA), PRODUCTION & FACILITIES DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
N.A. Fields Development Engineer (9/02 to 8/03)
Was responsible for development and exploitation of all Northern Area onshore oil fields. Primary project was the development of a 500 MBD production increment from Fadhily, Abu Hadriya, and Khursaniyah fields. Work involved: development of surface network models, determination of appropriate operating conditions for wells and surface systems, identification of surface piping requirements, and specification of major system requirements of downstream plant. All work involved risk and economic analyses of production alternatives in a team environment.
Gas Plant Upstream Development Engineer (12/99 to 9/02)
Primary responsibility was Lead Engineer for upstream facilities development for the Haradh Gas Plant, a major grass-roots facility designed to deliver 1.6 BCF/D of non-associated gas from South Ghawar and satellite gas fields.
Specific work assignments included: steady-state and transient modeling of upstream production facility networks; facilities engineering and design; close liaising with, and coordination and monitoring of, Project Management teams and Petroleum Engineering organizations; and obtaining and tracking of funding for finite project elements.
Facilities Engineer (2/99 to 12/99)
Primary responsibility was Lead Engineer in the development of up-front engineering, and strategy for the selection, planning, and introduction of artificial lift to the Berri Field, a major offshore oil field producing sour oil in excess of 300 MBD with a high GOR and high water cut.
Well Stimulation Specialist (1/97 to 2/99)
Primary responsibilities were planning, design, and field supervision of well stimulation treatments. Established stimulation objectives for a major gas development, developed stimulation design criteria, identified and mobilized required equipment and materials, and formulated a stimulation quality program. Provided consultation and field supervision on the stimulation of wells of all types, with specific emphasis on deep, high-temperature gas wells with high frac gradients.
Petroleum Engineer (4/91 to 1/97)
Exercised broad range of Engineering responsibilities primarily related to the development of major oil and gas facilities and projects. Specific duties included: wellbore and flowline hydraulics optimization, well stimulation planning and design, well corrosion studies, ESP contract scope development and trouble shooting, Business Plan coordination, and various miscellaneous projects and tasks.
Specific work assignments included: Central Arabia Field Production Engineer; Member, Khuff Well Stimulation Task Force, Reservoir Management Standards Task Force, Ghawar Scaling Study Team, Quality Management Team, Petroleum Engineering Aide Curriculum Development Team; Coordinator, Out-of-Kingdom Studies "Khuff & Berri Wells-Stimulation Consultants" and "Cost Estimation and Databases"; Area Environmental Coordinator, and Coordinator for Standards Review.

Provided technical evaluations, economic analyses and recommendations pertaining to all division-level capital expenditures for Midland and Mid-Continent Divisions involving more than 2500 company and outside operated oil and gas properties.
Areas of major responsibility included: prospect evaluation with emphasis on risk-weighted economics; evaluation, assignment and revision of reserves; transient pressure analysis and reservoir limits testing; identification and recommendation of potential locations for drilling and workover; monitoring and maintenance of reservoir performance; well log interpretation; technical and economic analyses with recommendations for property acquisition and divestiture; preparation of annual budget.
ENRON OIL & GAS COMPANY (SONORA, TEXAS)
District Engineer (8/79 to 12/86)
Reported to District Manager with responsibility for all reservoir and production engineering activity. Area included approximately 600 company operated oil and gas properties throughout eight West Texas counties, and included wells ranging from deep high-pressure gas to shallow dead oil. Principal area of involvement was Sawyer (Canyon) field, a tight gas field in Sutton County.
Reservoir Engineering related responsibilities included: prospect development emphasizing reservoir pressure maintenance and responsible depletion methods; interference test design and analysis; evaluation of reserves and inflow performance prediction.
Production Engineering related responsibilities involved development planning, design, and field coordination of total production system from reservoir to sales point, and included: cased-hole logging and perforating; well stimulation (acidizing and fracturing); deliverability well testing and evaluation; pipeline and gathering system design; separation and compression; artificial lift (gas lift, beam pumping, plunger lift, etc.); production scheduling and monitoring; facility and well maintenance; and workover and abandonment.
Drilling Engineering related responsibilities included: drilling and casing program design; AFE preparation; bid solicitation and evaluation; supervision of drilling location construction; securing of right-of-way; well-site supervision; pore pressure prediction; open-hole logging; TD assessment; running and cementing of casing strings; fluid and air drilling.
All areas of responsibility necessarily required both field and office work with 24-hour on-call status, as well as regular interaction with management, field personnel, service companies, contractors, land owners, vendors, and appropriate regulatory agencies, including expert witnessing.
