The role of the position is to supervise, direct and control the coordination and allocation of all SPS OPS Base operational activities, in full compliance with all HSE and operating procedures, and to coach and develop national staff to a level where they can perform these roles.

The duties include:

* Transportation of equipment and materials, by road air and sea.
* Organisation of plant and labour to safely and timely load/offload supply vessels, trucks and undertake materials handling in the pipeyard and general storage areas.
* The provision and control of offshore cargo carrying units.
* Correct storage and recording of all materials at the base.

* Receipt, storage, transportation/collection and disposal of waste returned from client and generated on the Base.
* Conduct pre-job discussions, risk assessment, permit to work on job carried out at the base.
* Conduct regular Toolbox Talks, which should focus on preventing all incidents/accidents, and especially those with high risks; adherence to the Safety Management System; following to the main Safety rules and instruction.
* Prepare, agree, implement and monitor development plan for identified national staff.
* Coaching, on a person to person basis, to develop the national staff to North Sea standards.
* Identify future trainers and implement a "train the trainer" programme.
