(2005 to 15 OCT 2006) Project Management and Consultancy (PMC) as Project Manager in PMC role for feasibility & project management for setting up a Clean fuel project of Hindustan Petroleom Corporatio Ltd - Visakh Refinery Up gradation Project confirming to EURO III/IV standards at an estimated cost of USD 400 millions with a crude processing capacity of 8.33 million tons per annum of all new units of NHTU, NHT-CCRU, SRU, AMINEREGEN/ABSORPTION UNITS, FCC-II REVAMP, LPG RECOVERY /PROCESSING, COOLING TOWERS, RO- DM WATER PLANT, SOUR WATER STRIPPING UNIT AND ETP PLANT, OFFSITES TANKAGES AND FACELITIES, PETROL/ DIESEL BLENDING & DCS SYSTEMS, CONTROL ROOM & SUBSTATIONS. The following is the summary of tasks under taken.
(b) (2003 to 2004) PMC role of M/S INDIAN OIL CORPORATION'S 5, 34000 MT PER ANNUM CAPACITY PTA PROJECT BEING BUILT ON LSTK BASIS by L&T AT THE COST OF USD 300 MILLION AT PANIPAT Near Delhi. This was a petrochemical plant built to world standard. As this was a LSTK project, I was involved in project expediting in close interaction with client at site & in pushing of drawing / packages review, procurement &, delivery, fabrication and execution of all specialized equipments to augment the site progress. The following is the summary of tasks under taken.
(2000 TO 2002) – As Project Manager in Onshore oil & gas projects division EIL New Delhi.
i) ` Project Management of feasibility & City Gas Distribution pipelines, Delhi domestic/ commercial gas distribution, compressed natural gas dispensing stations for automobiles with implementing a Numerous CNG Dispensing Terminals For Road Transport Vehicles For M/S Indraprastha Gas Limited. The Works Involved Laying Of Supply Network Of Natural Gas Pipelines In & Around Delhi With Feeder Lines To Mother Dispensing Stations. Setting Up Of CNG Stations All Construction Activities Along With Procurement And Installation Of High Pressure CNG Compressors, Dispensers, and Generators & Cascades Etc. Project Cost USD 50 million.
Also engaged in techno /commercial feasibility & proposals for gas/ petrochemical projects for domestic / foreign projects.

ii) (2000 to 2001) Project Management of feasibility & implementation of M/S Gas Authority of India Ltd's 42" NB 612 Km Cross Country Gas Transmission Pipeline from Petronet's Dahej LNG Terminal in Gujarat to Vijaipur Terminal in Madhya Pradesh (India) With a Capacity to Transfer 30 MMSCMD of Regassified LNG. Job Involved Project Coordination for All Contracts & Tendering activities. Project cost USD 700 million.
I was responsible for the overall management of projects. This encompasses managing all the resources which include feasibility studies, engineering, procurement and construction elements. During managing several pipeline systems projects I as project leader for major projects with global experience in project management. Extensive experience offshore / on shore. Having strong commercial acumen and negotiating ability continued to be experienced in a wide variety of contracting and execution strategies, negotiation, and commercial/economic evaluation skills with all parties including the Governmental approvals, land acquisitions, compensation assessment, legal procedures in getting ROW clearances.
(1999) – As Project Manager in Metallurgy division EIL New Delhi
M/S NATIONAL ALUMINIUM CO. LTD (ALUMINA EXPANSION PROJECT IN ORISSA STATE)
Project coordination for Gallium, Special Grade alumina (SGA), Zeolite and common utilities (CU) plants of M/S Nalco in Orissa state. The works relates to preparation of LSTK package for Gallium plant. Project Cost USD 30 million.

(e) (1996 to 1998) – As Project Manager in Petrochemical division EIL New Delhi
Project management of setting up of M\S Gujarat Chemical Port Terminal Co Ltd CHEMICAL PORT JETTY AND TERMINAL PROJECT CONSTRUCTED AT DAHEJ IN WESTERN GUJARAT (INDIA).
This was a Petrochemical Port & Storage Terminal project for import/export of hydrocarbon/chemical (gas & liquids) cargo of (1.8 million TPA) and storage terminal of capacity of 100, 000 CU.M for propane/propylene gas. Built at the cost of USD 200 millions, the jetty handles up to 40,000 DWT tankers. All aspects of project execution and commissioning were extensively dealt with. Responsibilities exercised were:
(1988 TO 1995) DESIGN & DETAIL ENGINEERING in EIL New Delhi
This experience gives me technical edge over other project managers who don't have design and engineering back ground.
As Design Manager
Responsibilities were complete design, engineering & preparation of business proposals for getting business to EIL & inspection of as installed LIQUID trays and Packed Tower Internals for process columns of numerous refineries, petrochemicals and oil & natural gas processing plants in India/ abroad as per ASME, ANSI, ASTM, API, BS, DIN, ISI codes, licensers basic design, HSE, regulatory and client specs.
Design and engg. of high pressure process package systems in onshore & offshore oil and gas processing plants viz, Test and Production Separators for oil & gas, coalesces, contactors, oil sumps etc. Also developed computer programs for mechanical design of pressure vessels, columns trays and heat exchangers, developed quality control manuals and procedures.
Design & Detail Engineering, preparation of Techno-Commercial proposals, Material requisitions, review of bids technically and commercially, review of vendor's drawings performed, fabrication of materials at vendors works, in Heat and Mass Transfer division of EIL along with checking of site installation of column/ tower internals such as valve, sieve, bubble cap, packed tower with structured/ random packing, chimney trays, distributors, demisters and process package systems such as two/ three phase oil/ gas separators, contactors, coalescers, sump tanks, pressure vessels and associated piping, instrumentation and support structures etc.
(1982 to 1986) Ocean Engineering – Mumbai Offshore as Sr Engineer
A very extensive offshore experience in projects of Oil & Natural Gas Commission of India i.e. LSTK project Bid review, vendor development, Mechanical Supervision, Inspection and Quality Control of Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (PCC) of numerous offshore oil & natural gas process plat forms and submarine pipelines in Mumbai High, India with Stay in Offshore for over 800 no. of days.
The area of supervision involved extensive quality assurance / quality control, inspection in highly specialized welding procedure, stress relieving non destructive / destructive testing, hydro test, material/equipment inspection documentation and third party approval, safety audit etc. and mechanical supervision & review of all piping & equipments fabrication/ erection at offshore, installation of Single point mooring systems, Several Submarine Pipelines from 12" to 24 "/30 " NB, Offshore Well Cum Process Platforms Structures including jackets, main decks, living quarter, boat landing,. Flare Bridges, helpdesk, Topside Process Facilities including production separators, Christmas tree, production manifolds, all process and utility systems including chemical injection and treatment systems, gas sweetening and dehydration system, acid gas removal system, potable water system, instrument air/ inert gas system, cooling water/ fire fighting system, corrosion monitoring system, flue gas combustion system, boilers and reboilers, gas turbines & compressor system, generators, waste heat systems, and coolers, HVAC system, condensate evacuation system, treated water disposal system, emergency shut down systems, control systems etc.
ii) Year 1980 ON SHORE Process Refinery Project as Engineer
Construction supervision at Mathura refinery project of Indian Oil Corporation at Mathura, in Uttar Pradesh India. Construction supervision of offsite and process unit's piping and tanks.
iii) (1987) as Sr. Engineer Construction at Bharat Petroleum Corporation refinery in Mumbai ON SHORE. Involved in construction supervision of main crude oil heater of BPCL refinery Construction supervision of offsite and process unit's piping and tank ages.
