WORK HISTORY
OCT 2006 – PRESENT
CASPIAN WIRELINE SERVICES LTD., BAKU, AZERBAIJAN
WELLSITE GEOLOGIST
Working for Karasu Operating Company (KAOC) in Mishovdag in-fill drilling project, Ali Bayramli, Azerbaijan.
Responsibilities include:
* Examine and describe samples as per oil industry standards and client's specifications. Evaluate samples for hydrocarbon shows.
* Pick up formation boundaries and lithology changes while drilling based on cuttings, gas and LWD data.
* Correlate Rate of Penetration (ROP) and gas data with neighbouring wells' Master log and LWD data for prospective reservoir zones.
* Determine casing point.
* Witness Open Hole Wireline logging operations. Qualitative interpretation of logging data.
* Additional responsibility is to supervise mudlogging unit.
JUNE 2001 – OCT 2006
GEOSERVICES
DATA ENGINEER
Responsibilities included:
* Arrange the mudlogging cabin on rig site.
* Evaluate gas panel measuring total gas and its components (C1, C2, C3, C4, C5). The gas panel was based on Flame Ionization Detection (FID) principle.
* Monitor drilling operations through online systems, and gas levels, and report any anomaly to an appropriate person for action.
* Design and produce computer generated gas log, as per client specifications.
* Use client provided gas interpretation methods to evaluate quality of reservoirs and source rocks.
* Closely monitor drill breaks, mudflow out rate, changes in pump pressure and active pit volumes, any increase in background gas (BG) level or appearance of connection gas (CG), caving' shape and size, drag and torque for abnormal pressure detection.
* Interface with the client to function as per the client requirements and further report him on the rig operations.
* Worked for clients like BSP, TotalFinaElf, Unocal, VICO, Nico Resources and Devon Energy in Brunei, Indonesia, Bangladesh and China.
JUNE 1996 – MAY 2001
GEOSERVICES
MUDLOGGING GEOLOGIST
Responsibilities included:
* Collect drill cuttings samples from proper lagged depths and at proper intervals, examine and describe samples as per oil industry standards and client's specifications. Evaluate samples for hydrocarbon shows.
* Prepare an accurate and comprehensive Masterlog as per client's format.
* Monitor drilling operations; notify well site personnel of any anticipated or observed drilling problems related to geology.
* Assist in core recovery and description when required.
* Assist in well test operations and sampling when required.
* Worked for clients like SANTOS, ExxonMobil, Conoco, BGFCL, CPC and ONGCL in Australia, Russia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Taiwan and India.
