OCT 05 – NOW WORKING: Welding Inspector: EPC Contractor M/s Foster Wheeler Italiano, Refinery Gas Desulphurization Project, Bahrain.
Responsible of sub-contractor's welding quality ensuring by following the correct procedure and specification, NDT inspection, monitoring welder's ability to control the rework percentage etc.
AUG 05 – JAN 07: NDT Inspector: EPC Contractor M/s Japan Gas Company FZE (Middle East), Dolphin Energy Project, Gas Compression and Processing Plant, Ras Laffan, Qatar.
Review sub-contractor quality systems documentation, such as NDT procedures, witness and conduct acceptance inspections on behalf of the project, active in implementation of the project's quality management system, review all welding procedures (WPS) and procedure qualification records (PQR) for acceptance, welders qualifications for compliance with project requirements, welding materials control, material segregation, trace ability, PAMI, PWHT and NDT procedures, Verify quality control procedures and systems for welding, PWHT, NDT, for compliance with project requirements, Witness welders qualification tests (WQT), WPS and PQR testing, Witness and surveillance, selected NDT activities, review radiographs, maintain records of repair detail by welder wise and job wise to monitor the repair rate. Material Inspection: Inspect the Project Material & related documents (MRV, Material Test Certificates etc) against the requirements of applicable Purchase Order and the Project Material Specifications.
Welding Inspection: Monitor on the proper storage, backing, handling etc. of the welding electrodes and fluxes to ensure that only acceptable materials are used. Record the details for the material traceability. Checking of the Fit-up, Pre-heat, Inter pass temperature etc as per applicable WPS.
Final, Visual Inspection of completed welds: To ensure the weld surfaces are free from any surface defects, if find any get them rectified to minimize the reworks after NDT tests.
NDT: Prepare requests for NDT, PWHT, Hardness Tests etc. and monitor to ensure that these tests are carried out to the extent of specified in the applicable specification.
Dimensional Control & Hydro test: Witness the dimensional Check of the fabricated items, Preparation of the test packages for the Hydro test, witness the Hydro test.
MAY1980–JAN 87 NDT Technician, M/s NDT-Met Services, Mumbai, India.
Certified as Licensed Radiographer by Baba Atomic Research Center, Mumbai, India.
