Supervise the safe and efficient operation of all assigned rigs, ensures optimal flows, minimizing loss of production during any maintenance or down-time.
Supervise the activities of assigned personnel in the Rig Service Unit. Perform supervisory duties at the level established by Management for the position.
Initiate requisitions for some consumables, materials, tools and equipment necessary for the smooth and safe operation of the rigs. Record stock level of items on rigs and submits status report to workover superintendent.
Trouble-shoot problems occurring with production equipment, wells, etc. Includes investigate, determining reason for fault and initiating immediate action to remedy, follows up any required maintenance to minimize down- time.
Coordinate in the field specific operations such as acidification, completion of new wells and unplanned voluntary shutdowns. Includes offering any assistance that may minimize production and/or enhance safety.
Supervise and ensure the assistance and coordination with well test/workover/completion crew, wireline operators and PCP operator, ESP operator etc to ensure smooth and safe operations. Includes ensuring that well is secure and providing all other assistance to minimize production loss during operations. Prepares equipment on wells for maintenance and ensures the equipment is safely isolated.
Supervise and ensure the completion of hand-over procedures during change in shifts. Includes checking all tools, equipment, water, emergency food, safety and other materials are accounted for, all records and logs are in order and any special actions, requiring follow up are fully understood.
Prepare daily production report and well test/workover/completion summary report on well performance by well. Indicate well parameters, any work carried out on well, etc.
Performs other similar or related duties such as training subordinates, ensuring maintenance of good housekeeping, carrying out proper ' hand-over ' procedures, ensuring maintenance of all tools and equipment in good working order, etc
