SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE
Diversified experience over 20 years in various fields.
The first few years of this period included tertiary studies where I successfully completed 2 diploma courses; Management Development Programme, Principles of Production and Inventory Management, I did other Courses as well; Management Skills for Logistics personnel, Project and Procurement Management, and Major Emergency Management course at RGIT in Montrose Aberdeen Scotland.
From 1982 - 1984 Assistant Branch Manager for Dan Brake - Forecast of production for the sales of all branches in South Africa and procurement of all raw materials for production schedule.
In 1984 - Atlantis Diesel Engines - Material Planner ; planning of the 400 series engine, responsible for sourcing the components from abroad and had to liaise with shipping to get all materials on time in South Africa and cleared by custom for Production.
1984 - Soekor Assistant Base Manager, - Stock control for the oilrigs, procurement of all oil field equipment, setting up and implementing the ABC classification on all commodities, General handling of all Logistics Support Function for an Offshore Installation i.e. Crew Changes by helicopters and Fixed Wing, H.R. Support for personnel, coordination of supply vessels, cargo, catering. Onshore Material Control and emergency duties for the Offshore installations. Construction of the F.A. Platform for Mossgas started. Responsibilities included - MO3 Warehouse most efficient layout and setup of the stores on the F.A. Platform. On completion of the construction of the F.A. Platform all surplus materials were shipped to Mossel Bay and I was responsible for warehousing and preservation of Materials.
1992 to 2003 - Logistics / Services Superintendent for Mossgas; onshore as well as offshore, co-ordination of materials, planning of requirements on shipping availability, control P.O.B. and co-ordinated all Logistic support functions to the F.A. Platform to continue producing gas to onshore refinery.
EM Gas Field Development for Mossgas I was appointed as Logistics Coordinator -1998 - 2002
I arrange all logistic support for the EM Gas Development offshore, from Mosselbay South Africa offshore as well as returning equipment as soon as possible to contractors internationally. Coordinated the shipping of cargo via custom clearing agents, Manage and Control the Logistics Budget of $ 2,5 000 000.00

Weekly - Logistics Cost report for budgets; Materials Report; Transport Report and Personnel Report.
Monthly - Project Management Report.
Manage and ensure a 24 hrs support system in place for the Project onshore to support offshore.
Ensure allProcedures and Policies for the Logistics Department were in place and was adhere to for the completion of a Safe and on Budget for the Project.
Company Rep on the Pipe laying Barge Castoro Otto. My responsibility to ensure that the anchor patterns of the barge were no risk to the Gas and condensate export pipelines from the F.A. Platform

2003 - Sasol Petroleum International - Materials / Logistics Coordinator in Mozambique for SPI where I did all the Logistics Functions and Materials for the Gas Central Process Plant and Drilling development in Mozambique. I was transfer from Mozambique to Gabon to be the Logistics Manager for SASOL PETROLEUM WEST AFRICA. I was managing and controlling Freight Forward agent, Procurement, Transport (Sea, Air, Road ) and material control for all equipment required for the project to ensure that all materials and equipment was cleared in time and shipped offshore as well as onshore. Was my duty to ensure all Procedures and Policies for the Logistics Department was produced and implemented, did perform the function of Office Manager in Gabon and the departments under my control; was Finance; Procurement and Admin/ IT.
2005 - ExxonMobil (ESSO) Angola and my primary task was to ensure that all requests from Offshore FPSO's get priorities for procurement, ensure that material gets delivered and through customs to the end user on a fast and efficient way.
2006 - PROSAFE Nigeria- Asset Manager – ensure all Support function from onshore to offshore as well as implementing Procedures and Policies to approval of the client. Manage all functions of a Project Office.
2006 - ExxonMobil (ESSO) ANGOLA as a Senior Buyer / Material Queries Coordinator for Operations ensures that all technical Queries get resolve and Material Master updated to ensure speedy Procurement of Materials. Ensure that speedy delivery of Materials and Custom Clearance are done in a fast manner to get Material to the warehouse and End User. Update Material MASTER with correct Material data from OEM's.
